Stuck in a rut: need your advice on my account

Hi guys,

I’ve been playing every day for more than a year now, but I see a negative trend since a couple of months. Since I see no end to this, I’m asking for your help.

I’m currently in the transition phase to 3* and it’s taking some time since I’m a semi-casual player (sometimes I play a lot, but I’ve been playing less nowadays).

The fact is I don’t get much 3* covers, but it’s ok since I’m in no hurry. Since I’ve been playing for a long time and that I spent 25 $ so far, I currently have 46 slots for characters (never bought anything else with my points).

So, since about 3-4 months ago, like I said, I couldn’t level much my 3* for the frequency of me getting covers, but I got some from time to time. Since then, I noticed a change in my situation: either I’m now extremely unlucky or (conspiracy theory ahead) there was a change in some patch that is now putting me in a tough spot.

Exception made for about 2-3 covers, all my 3* (or 4*) covers that I’ve been getting since 3 months are for new characters I didn’t have. Now, I know there a new characters added to the game regularly, but I already had a bunch of them, so not being able to upgrade my 3* roster since about 3 months ago is getting on my nerve. My stable is spreading thin with low-levels 3*/4* since I didn’t want to sell them.

Right now, I sold characters that weren’t useful, to my knowledge, to make room. I’m not sure if I should sell others at this point. I currently have 475 Hero Points, waiting for 600 for a new spot. I got my first 4* Elektra today in the events (she sits in the sideline, no place to recruit right now) and tomorrow I will be getting my first 4* Fury through the daily reward. I really don’t know what to do my with roster, as I already paid much money and just feel that putting another 20 $ will just forestall the same situation for a month.

Additional context: since I don’t get a lot of covers, all my 3*/4* are at their max level (except Daredevil). I usually play with my maxed 2* roster and my 3* that are above 100.

I wanted to ask you if there are characters that I should get rid of or if I should sell my 4* covers that I don’t use since the characters are too low levels. Or should I do something else? Here is my whole stable:

Keeping the 1s for deadpool dailies and combined arms is probably a good bet. I would be loathe to sell any 3s because they are now a touch easier to cover and will likely be essential t some point.

On the other hand that lvl 15 Bullseye and the lvl 33 Cap America would be tempting to me to sell (and 2* miss marvel next if it came to it). Non of them are great (esp 2* cap who is terrible), there are a limit to how many 2s you’ll ever need/use, they are unlikely to ever be essential in PvE AND it’s not that onerous to remake a 2 if you ever feel the need anyway. Their covers come flowing out of every PvP and every cover pack.

So, I guess I would sell those and keep the 4* covers in your situation.

It is easy to replace 2*'s that you sell since their covers are so easy to come by. Since you haven’t invested in Bullseye, Ms. Marvel and Cap it seems like they would be clear sells. mHawkeye has his uses (especially with cStorm and MNMags) so I would be reluctant to sell him off and would consider giving him some levels. That would give you 3 roster slots so that you can keep Electra and Fury, Because, who knows, with a couple of lucky token draws they might be usable for you. And if you’re not using Marvel, Cap and Bullseye now, there’s no reason to think you’ll be wishing you had them some time in the future.

I think I would replace one of your 1*'s with Jugg then sell the other two - Jugg is more then enough by himself to beat Deapbools 1* daily.

Then I would get rid of Bullseye, Cap Marvel, Cap America, and probably Hawkeye. I can’t see you using any of the characters I’ve mentioned with your roster..

never sell a character you have invested iso8.png
into, you don’t get it back.

never sell a character anyways. the Deadpool Daily Quest has given reason why in addition to Heroic PVEs.

join an alliance, the imcoin.png
you get from alliance rewards really adds up.

I used to be in your situation as well and with my roster slots now at 700 imcoin.png
I still always have enough and I shield hop and I just bought a 4* cover @ 2500 imcoin.png

just keep playing…or don’t.

your situation is becoming the norm for mpq 2 - 3* transitioners (rosters full of low cover 3s). this is the reason they created the new daily deadpool event. go there asap if you havent already. it gives the opportunity to add 1 new 3 PER DAY as well as two tokens that have a 10% drop rate for additional 3*s that are featured. it is designed to help add covers to characters you already own.

I agree. See how the Deadpool event impacts your cover situation first, then re-evaluate.

But I’d definitely sell that Bullseye. Especially if the choice is to lose Electra…

I agree with the above posters about 2*s to ditch. I would only add that you should not be reluctant to level Daredevil icon_e_surprised.gif
As is you can bring him up to 153 and he will kick some ass for you icon_cool.gif

I play by the philosophy that you develop what the game gives you (only ever spent $4 from a gift card, and spent on a roster slot). In the beginning the game would only ever give me Daredevil covers, so he was the first that I managed to max. Having a stronger character (even if it is Daredevil) will help you reach better rewards and give you a tentpole to build the rest of your roster around in terms of complimentary abilities.
