The flip side of Arguel’s Blood Fast, Temple of Aclazotz destroy creature ability is bugged. The card states to destroy the last creature but it destroys the first instead.

And when the destroyed creature has a return effect like despoiler, it doesn’t gain life at all
Thanks for pointing that out again. I saw that it was reported a while back but nothing about it destroying the wrong creature. Looks like the whole card is just a mess.
Bumping because it’s still an issue (destroying first creature I mean)
I ran into a new variant of this.
It destroys the last creature, but gives life based on the first.
I managed to trigger it a few times in a fight:
Squee and Darigaaz on the field. Temple kills Darigaaz, then gives me 6 life (Squee’s 3 toughness * 2).
Later in the fight, I have Rekindling Phoenix reinforced (12/10), Darigaaz reinforced (16/16), Squee (4/3) in that order. Temple kills Squee, then gives me 20 life (Phoenix 10 toughness * 2).
