It’s also a much needed change to the game. I’m sure many of us can appreciate this considering how many characters we have waiting for levels while we continue to collect more and more covers. I’ll still always feel ISO starved but thanks to this decision I won’t be on the brink of starvation. All of this translates to me wanting to play more. The faster I can level my characters the faster I can enjoy them!
whoh wait its permanent? I thought it was a mistake since the event ended last night but if so this is an absolutely fantastic boost to the playing experience.
I’m making mad climbs up the Shield simulator while this is in effect. Also leaving weak teams on defense to get as many retaliations before 166 land comes around.
As others mentioned already, this feels right, and this is how ISO flow rate should be. Doubt that this is deliberate though seeing how progression and placement rewards are back to normal already.
I wonder if someone, anyone has ever bought Iso. There are arguments to buy HP and I have done it, but Iso? Such a losing, wasteful proposition. For $100 dollars worth you don’t even manage to max a single 3
character! And there are new characters at an average of 2 per month, and you don’t get enough Iso to max one of them in a month either just by playing!
I think Iso amounts had remained a somewhat hidden issue because none of the new characters since three months ago had been appearing in packs so people hadn’t bothered with/just couldn’t level them up, and instead focused on slowly maxing the old characters . Now, all of a sudden we have 6 very Iso-hungry characters that we cannot possibly max before new characters appear and every new character will just compound the issue.
I bought nearly 4 Million ISO, when it was the old price ($99 for 50 000 Iso). No need to say more… I just wanted to have a complete maxed roster.
I think some guys buy Iso, otherwise it would not be in the Store like this.
Now, if you are a big player, you can earn enough Iso by playing to max newly released characters and more. I haven’t bought any Iso since June (4 months) and maxed all released characters (including Dino) and 5 additional 3* and 1 2*.
Nope, I listed all my purchases since the beginning. But out of these 4 million, 1,4 million was bought during the sales. “Only” 2,6 million was bought at the normal price…
Just like they forgot to put anniversary tokens in the PvP before the Thor LRs, I bet they forgot to change back the Iso-8 gain rate. Or wanted to leave it till Monday out of good will. I hope it wasn’t a mistake and it stays though. I also feel Iso-8 starved all the time.
That’s still $5148 (although your typing makes me think you were spending some other currency) for the 2.6 million + whatever you spent on sale, which I’m going to guess was still north of 2000. So you’re still talking about spending about 7k on this game for ISO alone.
I guess the devs should send you a christmas card for paying their salary?
On topic: and as everyone suspected, the ISO rewards have returned to normal. Not really any reason to think otherwise…
