That awkward moment...(Lazy Thor edition)

So, Lady Luck has been rather mean to you this time around–giving the AI two cascades for your every one, dropping your special tiles right into the middle of a match, and as the icing on the cake, gives you the finger by handing the AI a cascade of blacktile.png
to bring X-Force to his magic number of 11. But you’re prepared–you’ve managed to collect 12 yellowtile.png
and 12 greentile.png
, and are ready to combo him into the middle of next week. You launch your Thunder Strike, and then that awkward moment when, of all those green tiles added to the board, none of them make a match. Ouch.

Sometimes Lazy Thor is just… really lazy. icon_e_sad.gif

… and then you use Loki’s pink and create 3 crits, do 4k damage, and get 11 green AP…

Ah, that was my mistake. I paired him with my 166 Blade instead of my level 40 Loki. D’oh!

Sadly, your 166 Blade is not much more of a deterrent than your 40 Loki.

Obviously the solution is that Blade and Loki should be combined into one character like Rocket & Groot. They already have the same colors. icon_razz.gif

So, have a BLoki then icon_e_wink.gif

greenflag.png
Mischievous Thirst (Passive): – If the opponent makes a match of 4 or more, creates 3 strength 75 red strike tiles and 3 2 turn countdown tiles that when activated steal 2 random AP

purpleflag.png
Illusory Advantage: 7AP – Swaps 15 random tiles. Any matches made by these swaps create a strength 150 attack tile, this attack tiles strength is increased by 35 for each friendly strike tile on the board (max 6 tiles)

blackflag.png
Trick of the Night: 9AP – Deals 1,500 damage and drains half of the opponents strongest AP color. Converts up to 4 enemy strike, attack, protect tiles to friendly tiles of the same type.

Hell yea, I’d play that!! Wouldn’t need a nerf at all! haha icon_e_wink.gif

thats how they get 3* an alternate way to be competitive with the seriously overpowered through fusion. hey it worked in DBZ

Good job prioritizing ISO spending…

Deterrence isn’t much of a consideration for me. With my X-Force (2/4/3) at 188, my Lady Thor having a total of three covers, and my Hood at one blue, I’m not really scaring anyone. I may as well play who I like, no?

Tell ya what: How about you spend your Iso how you like, and I’ll spend mine how I like. I happen to like Blade, so I maxed him. Besides, it seemed like a better idea to spend it on a cover maxed character than on one who is 4/2/2.

You’re welcome to continue doing that, as long as you don’t start a new complaint thread every time your choices bite you in the ass.

Glad I have your permission.

I didn’t really think of it as a complaint thread–I see it more as anecdotal than anything else. We all have our stories from and about the game–I enjoy reading others’, and maybe some people enjoy reading mine. If you don’t, you’re under no obligation to read it. Whatever floats your dinghy.

Now, had I said something along the lines of “Not fair, X-Force should be nerfed” or “This game is so P2W”, then you’d have a point. To me, that’s a complaint thread.

I think I’ve had this same thing happen to me with my cover-maxed 2*Thor when I needed to pull the combo off to win or face a wipe. My faulty memories believe I had about a 55% success rate but those failures stick out like a sore thumb especially when you have board that is predominantly green and the RNG decides to create green tiles in all the wrong spots!

Blades one of my favorites to use and brilliantly useful in PvE. How do you know the poster’s loki is fully covered? Nothing wrong with maxing out a useful charecter
