No, this isn’t a Heroic, you can use whoever you want. Those of us whose 3* roster largely sucks are really not going to enjoy this, though, because just having level 94s is enough to put you against level 250+ enemies by the end of an event now.
Sigh and all those “features” for a new character. This actually makes me like Heroic Venom Aniversary event more, and I didn’t think that was possible. Atleast i got the 5th purple GSBW cover I needed with that hell.
Since Ms. Marvel is in the event tokens at featured 2* odds you’ll probably pick up at least one of those before reaching the final progression anyway.
While I agree with your sentiment, you KNEW she was going to be required.
Obviously, you come to these forums. So, you saw Blade was going to be released in the next Event starting on 10/24. D3 ALWAYS (maybe there has been an exception) makes a just released character an Essential in the next PvE Event.
Really, you got no one to blame but yourself. You made a choice.
You are now suffering the consequences of that choice.
It isn’t exactly a new thing to have a previously awarded character as a featured character in the next PvE. You’ve been around long enough now that you should have known this.
To be fair, I believe this is the first time one new character has been necessary to get another new character. That’s pretty crappy, IMHO. I really hope them introducing two new characters in a row is becaue of their eagerness to get Blade out by Halloween, and not a sign that they’re going to speed up the already too fast pace of introducing new characters.
Hopefully they’ll give us an extra week off before giving us the next one.
I can’t think of a case where a new character released in PvE wasn’t immediately the featured character of the next PvE event. Usually you don’t have two new characters released in back to back events but you always needed the latest guy for the immediate event after his/her release.
