With all of the recent veteran-crippling changes, I was on the brink of a rage quit (or, better put, “apathy quit”; Copyright 2015 by AionTelos), but decided to stick it out (at least for this season) because of my alliance mates, whom I now consider to be close friends and people who I speak with more than some of my “real life” friends. Not just about the game, although that does make up the majority of conversations, but comics and beers and TV shows and movies as well. I’m sticking it out for this season for them even though this game is nothing but frustrating now and, barring any fixes to recent changes, am going casual after this season. I can’t bring myself to quit altogether after 540+ days. Not sure what casual means yet, aside from just playing DDQ and the occasional PVP for a few hundred points (sans shields) and maybe some LRs.
What would keep me playing regularly (I’d need at least 2 of these 4):
-
Don’t break XF. I can live without SS draining/gaining AP, but his green is just going to be awful now, a change that was completely unwarranted for a 3* (errr, 4* star?).
-
Give back +3 AP boosts. The game has already been slowed down substantially with matchmaking changes, and even more so soon with hit point/health increases. There was absolutely no need for the AP boost nerf. You crippled EVERYONE with this. Vets used these against each other on hops, not for some advantage to “beat up” on 2* players. Speaking of 2* teams, they need boosts too. With PVE scaling to ridiculous levels for everyone, those boosts are needed for players to stand a chance against, say, a BP whose level is twice that of one’s highest leveled character (oh, another RotP? Thanks, I didn’t need that health pack).
3.Go back to the old matchmaking system. Have you looked at the feedback about this D3? The majority of players are not happy with this, including 2* players, who this was seemingly made to help. Yes, the forum only represents about 10% of players, but if you take the feedback here and apply the rule of sampling from any customer survey/feedback, you should understand that the majority of opinions here actually do represent the majority of the player base as a whole, give or take a few percentage points.
- D3 needs to stop making reactive changes to accommodate one group of players. Everyone does not and should not get a trophy. There needs to be enough for top players (e.g., changing alliance rewards for 4* PVEs was a solid move given the size of the player base now). There are an overwhelming number of posts on here with feedback/suggestions about changes to the game. D3 should focus on one at at a time instead of six major changes at once: create a topic and/or poll and get feedback from players before making substantial changes. This creates buy-in from players (assuming D3 actually takes their feedback and suggestions to heart). More importantly though, D3 is getting feedback from people who actually play this game, something the developers clearly do not do extensively.
What would keep you playing regularly or in a competitive alliance?
