Splitting off from another thread, thought it might be fun to list the things which could fill Rakdos with FURY in the new Ravnica set. For instance:
Azorius keeps locking up all the Golgari sewage workers, blocking up the sewer system due to a lack of maintenance. Since Rakdos’ pits are below the sewage levels of Ravnica, most of the overflow comes out in his domain - ruining the blood and viscera aethetic of his carnarium. This makes Rakdos FURIOUS.
I’ve noticed he doesn’t wear any socks. Is it because he can’t find any that fit? Or because wearing them makes him FURIOUS???
honestly I’m a bit rough on Ravnica lore, as I didn’t get too invested the first time the set came around, thinking of it as mtg’s Coruscant ripoff.
From the little I’ve read from the flavortext though, I got the impression the Rakdos guild was an undercity guild (like Dimir and Golgari). I bet they hate those fancypants Izzet, Azorius, Selesnya, and Boros guilds (basically your guild-equivalent of those preppy jocks/cheerleaders in high school we all hated). Maybe that’s what makes Rakdos furious?
Rakdos doesn’t have problems with the other guilds, Rakdos IS the problem

What? The Golgari provide the city with food. The Simic spent so long wondering if they could breed carnivorous mutant frog lizards, they never stopped to ask if they should. I mean what will they eat when you release them? The Selesnyans?
hahahaha yes the Selesnyans are Simic chow. Notice how nobody is jumping into this thread to be in their guild…because they’re basically the Hufflepuffs of Ravnica.
and yes the Golgari do provide the city with food, that soylent green kinda food.

Also, almost all of you are wrong. Simic is clearly the best guild (closely followed by Izzet).
Indeed. That is exactly what the Dimir like them to think, with all their natural arrogance playing to their feelings of superiority allows easy manipulation of them.
