Why do they still trigger if all non-dead enemies are stunned? Who exactly is supposed to be attacking me?
Most of the abilities that these tiles seem to represent abilities that would call on allies or other entities to attack, for example Doom’s demons still attack or Storm’s Haelstrom would pummel even after they are KO’d.
It’s supposed to be ongoing effects independent of any action by the character, like falling hail, bleeding from Psylocke’s katana strikes, etc. Not sure how Keep Your Enemies Closer fits into that paradigm, but it mostly works.
Doom: Demons
Storm: The weather.
Psylocke: You’re bleeding out
Punisher/Torch: Fire!!
Beast: … mutant DNA?
Blade: … his aura of wrath?
Doc Ock: His arms … and the insult to your pride?
Elektra: dance magic.
Best: The “breakthrough” involved throwing acid on you.
Doc Ock: His arms continue to move even while he’s stunned or KO’d.
Elektra: Oh like being dead has ever stopped her from stabbing people.
Blade: Er…
Blade is a vampire, death is an old friend; keeping his enemies close to him and unleashing his wrath alludes to Blade’s own contradictory feelings over being both human, vampire and a vampire-hunter, spreading his contagion so perhaps Blade won’t feel so alone in those moments of weakness.
Strike tiles don’t go away either, but you don’t suffer the effects when the opponents are stunned
Well you do when attack tile go off. Since strike tiles only amplify attacks they don’t do anything if the heroes just sit there. Doom’s Demons continue to run amok even if he’s gone. Storm’s storm continues dropping hail. Torch/Punisher’s fires still rage. Characters continue to bleed from Psylocke’s blade (although why a character who wasn’t hit by the blade bleeds beats me).
