Seeing lots of complaints about the events today after everyone seemed to be enjoying the first round so much so I am going to speculate and hope that we are in act 2 of a well crafted narrative. If so this is going to be a fun ride.
Act 1. A New Hope (That this token gives me a Dinosaur)
Rewards everywhere, double iso, points through the roof people having fun, what is this madness??
Act 2. Revenge of the Rags (Our darkest hour)
Less coveted rewards, less popular events, less exciting overall.
Act 3(?). Return of the Dino
Done right they will amp the finale up past 11 and finish with a crescendo into a reward filled climax and everyone will be left feeling spent and satisfied.
Because let us not forget that there is still a lot of Anniversary week to go, after all we were promised lightning rounds with the Goddess of Thunder.
Can’t wait to see where this will all end.
P.S. Oh, oh no I just remembered My ~Actual~ anniversary is this weekend, if MPQ runs to Friday night the Wife and I will be out of town and I will miss the very end…
Either way, being hopeful of the best puts me in a good mood. Which I MUCH prefer to feeling upset, angry, jaded, and betrayed over a match 3 game like so much of the forum seems to be right now. So until the final act is revealed I hope I am right because I have nothing to gain by assuming the worst.
Besides, if I am right, not only will the end be fun and rewarding, I will get to throw out an enormous “I told you so” and everyone loves the ability to do that!
You can ingnore it completely if you want since it’s giving out an old character that’s been given out many times before?
I don’t see why people are so ticked about Heroic Venom. Sure it’s about the worst event but it’s not part of the anniversay. They said we’d get 1PvE and 3PvPs chosen by us. We just picked on of the shortest ones there is and they never have week long lulls in PvE (they rarely have day long ones) so they ran another one in the dead time. Hooray ‘free’ ISO.
In addition, in the days leading to the Thor: Goddess of Thunder reveal, we will be featuring fan-favorite in-game events based on the community polls many of you recently participated in.
It seems to hold for the PvP, but find me a person who voted for Heroic: Venom, and I’ll find you a person whose story will eventually be told on Criminal Minds (for our non-USA viewers, that means he’s a serial killer).

Except that he isn’t. Either the word ‘events’ should be ‘tokens,’ or Dino should be featured in either the PvE or as a reward again for PvP. I’d even buy a loose definition of ‘in the event’ if they were awarding tokens in the current runs.
I’m guessing we won’t hear much today because it’s Columbus Day and they’re presumably closed for business, but at least personally, it’s not so much anger as disappointment that proper and accurate communication is still lacking.
Heck, right now it is actually impossible to win Devil Dinosaur (unless you buy a token) or to use him in anything but the prologue. No Anniversary tokens on offer as rewards, no simulator, he’s not on the Heroic roster, and Combined Arms doesn’t let you select a
character. He’s the opposite of featured.
Oh I am in no way defending the current events. (even if I could maybe use some Rags red and a GSBW purple) Just saying Act 3 has to be better than Act 2, and if it really really isn’t then and only then will I choose to reevaluate my optimistic stance I have taken and am trying to extend for one whole week.
You forgot to add the lightning rounds with Lady Thor. With the way things are going it will be 1 lighting round and we will only get 1 cover for her to try:(. It will also be 1 lightning round on Thursday at 10:00 AM EST so most people will be at work and cannot try her out. HMM what will the rewards be for the lightning rounds will D3 step up and have 250 points progression be worth an Anniversary Token
Will placement be worth an Anniversary Token
Will the be the basic Standard token and Lightning round Tokens

Discounting her reveal in lightning rounds, the next new character is probably 4* Lady Thor and after all the media attention Marvel has given her, they would probably try to pull Demiurge’s license if they would fail to introduce her with a proper narrative PvE event…
Are we going to be able to get her prior to the end if Season 7? If not, she’s probably not the next character in any meaningful sense. Warbird/Ms. Marvel/Binary may be the next we actually get in-hand.
But this is a video game, and sometimes the third video game in a series is amazing.
For example, look at Final Fantasy III (Yes, I know this was actually VI, but its original release was III in the US, so give it to me because this way it supports my argument
