I was in a great alliance and have built up a crazy good team but in the middle of the jean grey pve half the members decided to quit so I missed out on her. Joined another alliance and we were top 60 for the new deadpool and the leader decided to kick me because top 60 wasn’t good enough so now I’m gonna miss out on the new deadpool, that was strike 3 for me, I’m done with the game even though I liked it,
And thanks for everyone’s help except the leader for Elicit for doing what he did
I just got dropped by my alliance because I was 19th out of 20 due to a stolen phone over the weekend… even though I had been there for months and had 6k more points than one of the two commanders. Garbage. New 4* Characters bring out the worst in people, it seems.
There are good and reasonable players out there - but the last 6 hours of a major PVE is not the time to start a new alliance. But it’s tempting.
Do yourself a favor and join a casual alliance. My alliance nets me ~150iso / day for logging in, with a splash of iso and standard tokens for events (we got a heroic token once or twice though). Even though I’m trying to earn 4*s, I stick with it because the people are sane and like to help each other out (plus any new members that join). No minimums, no stress - just friendly chat.
I could hop on Line for that from what I understand from the forums, but the permissions Line requires are too much for me to accept. In-game chat it is.
There’s still time to merc your way back into a deadpool cover if you have a solid score. Like Jonny said, there are a lot of low-key, stable alliances out there that won’t blow up the alliance over not making top 50.
Do what you can, if you can, for this PvE, but try to find a steadier alliance of them during the downtime between new releases, and the next new release will be a lot less stressful. (Well, a different kind of stressful, at least)
EDIT: Based on the score information provided below, your score sounds like it was low enough that other members were doing the heavy lifting.
It’s also possible that your alliance was mostly people in earlier shards, which can inflate your score ranking early on. If that’s the case, that T60 ranking may not have held up as people started grinding the later shards.
To play devil’s advocate for a moment, if you only have 30k (going from your post in the merc thread) in this event in a top 60 alliance, it kinda sounds like you weren’t pulling your weight. Some alliances will drop you for that, especially if you’re a relative newcomer.
Cutting members for a high-scoring merc because you need the points for top50/100 is not an easy decision for a commander to make, especially if someone underperformed due to personal issues, but on the other hand it also wouldn’t be fair to those other 17-18 alliance members who worked their butt off for a cover and/or that extra ISO/HP if they miss out because one or two people couldn’t keep up, regardless of the reasons why. For my own alliance I can say we avoid temporarily replacing anyone because we all get along really well and have a lot of fun together (seriously, that group of people provides at least 75% of the fun I get from MPQ for me), but we all know and accept that if we’re in the bottom 3 or 4 score-wise, we might be asked to bow out of the alliance for the event for the good of the group if we’re at risk of not getting the cover, and I think that’s only fair. Communication is key, though, and can make the difference between being bummed out a little yet understanding, and being pissed because you were booted unceremoniously.
Nothing you said is wrong. Can’t speak for the OP, but my annoyance is with being told that I was good, and then grinding out for the team on that basis, and then being dropped anyway. I asked if I should merc out to make room for a higher score, and was told that I was OK - and now am in mad scramble for a landing spot somewhere. Just be straight with me, seems a simple request.
this is the problem on how allainces are set up. They might have 2 or 3 commanders and the person who runs the Thing said Yea your good to stay, Well another one of the commanders could say hell with that and dump you. This happen to me in my allaince back in april when the 2nd round of ultron started (if you think its hard finding a team now just think how hard it was trying to find a team with less then 2 hours to go to get into a team for the ulton event) I ask the owner of the thing and they go I THOUGHT YOU QUIT.. Noone could figure it out till another commander goes o i wanted to bring a friend in so i toss you out. I went back to the first alliance i was with when i joined this place.
if you want to find a good allaince your going to have to make sure your in the middle of the pack. Be careful if your joining an alliance that has more then one group, i was in one of these and placed very high (we was a top 100 PVe. and top 250/500 PVP, was asked to move down to a lower team so someone else could play, they pushed me down to a top 500 PVE and top 1000 PVP allance (what i left within 10 mins when i saw their ranks)
With deadpool PVE though I hate to tell you this but if your looking at getting into an alliance what will get top 100 your looking a min of 40,000 pts this late in the game.
if you need to rest 3 stars are the time to do it, rest when there is a 4 star and your going to be booted
and dont panic about getting the 4 star the only time you would use it is in the PVE JUGGIE even what is given out Daredevil what most already have maxxed
I had the same problem, especially for events I did not need covers for. Eventually I had enough and started my own alliance for casual vets and we help out the newer players. Feel free to PM if you’re interested. We normally land within the T500, nothing crazy.
Please don’t judge a game by the assholes who you run into. Find a better alliance if you like the game and warn people of the ones you were in. Sorry for your bad luck though.
Casual alliances won’t get him the covers he’s grinding for, I think you guys are missing that, its the nature of the game unless casual alliances are enough to get placement for covers now.
The only reason these guys come off as turds is because the nature of the game flows heavily towards that.
Some people will be cool with it, but some of you guys take pride in your alliance being ‘top blah blah’. It’s the nature of the game
i’m down for a ‘do as good as you can’ alliance! the one i’m in now is public, with a fair amount of turnover. decent daily numbers, but results are kinda sad.
That was just a bad alliance. Anything near T50 should be more than fine for any nice alliance. The reward for alliance top 100 PvE is nearly identical. Just a little more HP and ISO to the top.
It’s what I did. Get about 150 ISO a day and whatever random rewards pop up, usually top 2000 for PvE and top 1000 PvP. Our only requirement is to have fun while playing.
Alliances looking for top 100 placement are always looking for mercs to keep them above the line. As long as your points are high enough, you could go alliance hopping until you find what you need. I did the hopping thing myself to land in my current group. So you could get lucky.
