It’s a lot of fun. icon_e_biggrin.gif
And there are a LOT of great people here from beginners to veterans.

And we’re not as half as crazy as we seem, I promise. icon_lol.gif

If nothing else, the icon for seeing when there are new posts and then immediately jumping to the new post when clicking it is extremely convenient, even while lurking. It’s seriously 90% of the reason I even log in…

especially nice when switching on the fly between your phone and computer, I’d be lost without the new post indicator and jump to

LMFAO. It’s not a trap. Per se. It’s a recruitment invitation into our cult… I mean our group. icon_e_confused.gif

The forums are just a bit… addictive, like the game. I probably enjoy the forum more than the game itself right now. LOL. icon_lol.gif

Quite right. All the lurkers, join the forums! The way I see it, it’s in fact much more fun than the game itself. You may have an easier time quitting the game then, and focus solely on socializing icon_e_wink.gif

Riiight. The forum is almost as fun as the game itself and I got more addicted to MPQ after I joined… Seriously. It’s so much fun here- the people are (or at least I am) so friendly to newbies and stuff. Hold our hands and come to the bright side.

Typically I know I’ve shown up as a guest simply because I never log in. Got it set to automatically do that from here on out. But for me I also tend to have a sort of social phobia when it comes to web forums and online gaming. This is an oddity because in real life I enjoy socializing and meeting new folks all the time! It’s easy to converse with strangers for me so I’m not sure why I shy away from the forums. Anyone else ever experience that?

Nah. Usually I lurk for a couple of months until I feel like I know some people, then I start spouting nonsense as if I’d been posting for years. Works most of the time.

Oh, the truth in your words.

Yeah, that was my game plan. It’s been a sufficient method so far icon_e_biggrin.gif

Usually works for me too.
