I think the last time this was run was July 8-10. Seems like the last time it was scheduled to run Nick Fury had some secrets that needed telling, and it got preempted.

I think they are either going to run Thor or Black Panther as when they gave Patch rewards for a PvE event he showed up fairly close afterwards with his own PvP event. The reason I also think Black Panther is a possibility is that it has been a while since his last PvP was done so it is about time. Almost any event is fine with me as I need covers for almost everybody save Psylocke and Patch as long as I get top 5 in God of Lies to finish off a 5/5/3 Falcon.

I just hope its not a rags tourney, i need some of his covers but i don’t even care, just please no more krakadoom for a while

I would rather it be Rags so I can concentrate on Sim and the PVE.

There’s a pretty good chance whatever gets rewarded won’t get a tourney and will be pre-empted by another Combined Arms/Balance of Power/Nefarious Foes style off-season event…so I’m all for Rags if that’s the case.

My bet is the reward will be one of the boosted characters for the PvE. So hopefully a Deadpool, Beast, or Cap Marvel (i.e. any of those not yet in heroic packs - minus She-Hulk).

My money is on Deadpool.

The two 3* covers available in the simulator are usually for characters who have a PVP in that same season.

This season’s covers are Captain Marvel, who just had a PVP, and Deadpool.

Lazy Cap. All my effort is going into PVE, then.

Hallelujah! My Lazy Cap has been sitting at one red cover since the first PvE I placed in. That damage boost is gonna be nice.

So Daken’s obvious, but who’s the third on this team? Oh lord, just realized that X-Force is the best third imaginable: Daken tanks black for X-Force to surgical people, and you get a green/yellow (sort of) outlet. The dream…

Lazy Thor–you need something to do with all that yellow and green AP you’re gonna accumulate.

I want to run Daken - Falcon - Spidey and just match everyone to death.

From Psylocke’s PvE, I also know that she pairs pretty well with Daken and Falcon. (No green outlet, though.)

Daken + Falcon + any decent green user works if you want variety. If you don’t want variety, it’d simply be your most powerful green user (Sentry, Thor, X Force, etc). I guess you can cover yellow too but only BP/Nick Fury have a strong yellow while not having a strong green.

Apparently, this is my season to respec my roster. I’ve already redone Patch, the Loki PVP will give me the yellow I need for Falcon, and it looks like this one will give me a good shot at the last Cap blue. It’ll be nice to have one more ability to overwrite countdowns with.

I did the Daken/Falcon/Spidey team purely for trolling for a while in the last BoP since they’re all fully covered but only Daken is actually at 166. It played well and ended up with some crazy strike tiles and protect tiles, but there’s no reason to match green aside from the strikes, and now that Daken has had color reassignment surgery, it’s a weak match. Also, very vulnerable to bad cascades leading into opponent skills due to the games taking a long time because you have to use solely match damage to win.
