I prefer PVEs to be one map at a time and this Sim mixed with hard and normal nodes in one map is fine with me. My node for the 2000 iso, they were level 350, could’ve done without that but all in all I like it. Thanks D3
The game refunded my luck on my first go around so it was pretty easy, though it sure isn’t because of anything I did.
Since the opposition does not consist of Daken/Ares/Juggernaut you usually have some time to do something before getting wiped out, with the notable exception of Iron Fist who requires a specialized team to deal with. Yes they’re pretty hard but it’s not 2 red match = GG.
play sim 7 (XF, Gunner and LCap)
bring my 220 sentry 5/2/4 into play with a powered up ** thor and cmag
it begins
15 seconds pass
ai cascades
xforce
2k dmg and cascade
another xforce followed by another cascade
guess what…core meltdown…and a cascade
I make a move
surgical strike
my sentry is dead
it took less than 30 seconds for sentry too loose all his 12k health
get wiped
health packs ftw
second attempt
cascade cascade cascade, three 5 matches and two more cascades…xforce surgical…and wipe again
dafaq
So a fully maxed 2* roster can’t beat the 1st node on simulator 1?. Even with a few 3*'s at 9-10 covers at lvl 94 (that are boosted) I’m getting wiped. I hate complaining but this really is ridiculous.
The cascades in the HULK event felt like they were turned up to 11. I only played two nodes on Simulator and put my phone done. I think it might be time for a little break.
A 3 day PVE. Only 24 hours each sub. Only 10 Nodes for simulator (only 10!). I’m really excited by this turn of events.
I do not like the starting scaling for many players on the hard nodes, especially the ISO node, but we really cannot ignore all they got right on this iteration of Simulator.
P.S. Short PVE’s for new characters, longer PVE’s for older characters is one trend I can really get behind. It’s definitely what feels like a definite change that benefits all players, especially vets that are trying to avoid burn out.
BRAVO! Take a bow! (Except for whoever did ISO node overscaling, no bow for you.)
Not sure if you are aware, but the normal (easier) nodes are on the right, the essential are not too bad, and the hard ones are just the four on the left?
I gotta say, having Beast of all people on the final node in round 2 was kinda funny. If Beast gets a single countdown to resolve, Ultron Prime will make it a Game Over pretty soon.
I’ve mentioned this change in a few other threads lately, but totally missed the thread actually about it
This is a great change. It’s not perfect, but it’s a gigantic leap in the right direction of having a challenging PvE that doesn’t completely wash you of time and Health Packs (assuming you’re appropriately rotating your roster).
Looking forward to the next batch of spiffed up PvEs!
That was supposed to be in reference to scaling. Yeah, the hard nodes are hard. Besides, from a logical standpoint, if you have similar odds, I’d certainly through my B Team to the wind in case of a wipe, so your A Team can take on the even harder nodes.
Agreed, i’m really enjoying this event. There are nodes that provide a good challenge and that’s quite a lot of variation, without too much grinding.
The majority of complaints i see come down to either scaling or cascades and bad luck.
The former makes it so you don’t walk through every match without any challenge and the latter is to be expected considering it’s a match-3 game. One of the core points of a match-3 game is luck.
I think people often overlook the positive in favor of berating the perceived negatives.
For the sake of clarity, the above bolded actually makes it so 2/3s of the event is unbeatable for some, to the point where you attempt it and have your whole team wiped out without significantly damaging even one of the enemies, just so you can say you tried.
I’m inclined to agree on the cascade point though.
As for overlooking the positives, again, I love DDQ, and the format of this event is awesome, but it would be even better if I had any hope of enjoying more than 1/3 of it.
