Turntimber not buffing Huntmaster when transformed [Investigating]

I used Turntimber, Serpentine Wood to summon Huntmaster of the Fells while Ravager of the Fells was already present. It did the thing where an empty card square pops up on the board with glowing corners like it’s trying to buff something. But no buff received.

Is this intended or a bug?
