If there’s a reason I took 64 damage here, I don’t see it. I see no trigger in the battle log, and I couldn’t find anything on the field after this round to explain why I took all this damage.
Were you playing against Sarkhan?
I was, but he didn’t have the support out that made dragons do damage on attacking, I checked for that.
Is ita support? I thought 3rd ability was just cast for a one time effect.
It’s a one time deal. Hard to catch except that his power flashes and his PAW points go down.
Might he have cast Visions of Brutality on your Avaricious Dragon? Using HUF to cast it four times would give the exact effect seen here. It’s an uncommon from Oath of the Gatewatch that makes a creature deal damage equal to its attack to its controller when it attacks, and it stacks.
oooh maybe that was it. Unfortunately I didn’t check that part of the battle log to see, and it’s too late now.
Nope. That’s his dragon. I just had Captain Lannery Storm. I likely just missed the third loyalty which would be 64 damage, and then was looking for a support when it’s a one-time effect.
I never use dragons in my Sarkhan deck, so makes sense how I’d miss that.

If you are able to reproduce this, and find that it in fact was not Sarkhan’s 3rd ability causing the 64 damage, then please update this thread, and I will be sure to relay this to the developers. Otherwise, if the damage seems to be consistent with his 3rd Planeswalker ability, then I will be sure to mark this thread as Solved. Thanks!
