Hoping this is the right place for this and that there isnt similar discussion going on somewhere else that I missed.
With the Vault having been a thing for a few seasons now, we are starting to see characters returning. Some have additional, or changed powers, while others are untouched. I though it would be fun to have a thread to speculate on who we think is coming back next. If they are going to be changed or not. And who we think will be vaulted.

I think its pretty easy to say that Rags, Thor, and CMags will definitely be returning as they have been out the longest. After that its a toss up in my opinon of who will be coming back, so…
Coming back:
Rags - New third Ability
Thor - Unchanged (he is no different in the PVE running right now, tho I was hoping for some changes just to make him different from his 2* counterpart)
CMags - Unchanged (Its not been that long since he was touched up and doesn’t reallt need another one
Iron Man - random pick of the 4 vaulted from season 9 and the one most in need of a revamp. Hoping at the very least they drop the increasing cost and loss of friendly AP
Going Out:
IW - (I can dream, right? Been hoping for this since they added 4Thor to the mix)
Spidey - really needs some help
Capt America - Random guess due to age of character
Capt Marvel - Another random guess, and she could use a tweak
They’re not going to start vaulting 4*s; I think they want to dilute that pool.
I’ve been expecting GSBW and Hood to get vaulted for a while, since I don’t think they have yet. I thought Captain America had, plus he’s newer than they are. Ragnarok coming back with a third power is probably a gimme.
Once they’ve finished flooding us with 4s, then they might start vaulting them. But right now, any given 4 is only slightly less likely to come out of a heroic/event token as any given 3*. They were, until recently, more likely. I think they want to get them down to half the likelihood or less before they start either slowing down the release schedule or vaulting.
I don’t think Sentry will be vaulted, but I can see Hood being vaulted for sure. When they fixed X-Force I don’t think he was vaulted either. Wasn’t that just an update?
My predictions for getting vaulted in Season XI:
Mohawk Storm (no reason, just a guess)
Spiderman (needs a desperate buff with the change in healing mechanics)
Captain Marvel (needs some tweaking to be more viable)
My predictions for being released from the vault:
Ragnarok (with a new third power)
Thor (recently a PvE reward, tied for 2nd longest vault time)
Magneto (tied for 2nd longest vault time)
Okay, here are the changes that are needed and the ones I’d like to see. No predictions on what’s going to happen next season, although I’ll list these in the order they got added to the vault.
Rag: Third power needed. Maybe a slightly weaker red because of the Loki+Rag+Storm combo, now that Loki is really good.
Thor: No changes needed. I would like to see a reason not to use 3/5/5, but it hardly matters.
Magneto: No changes needed. I’d like his third power changed back to purple.
Psylocke: Blue power needs a rework. Red could have the strike tile limit removed.
Iron Man: Needs either a reworked yellow power that doesn’t get worse with more covers, or (preferably) a game-wide way to select the amount of covers you want. Blue needs to be cheaper as well. I expect him to stay vaulted for now.
Daken: No changes needed.
Black Widow: Needs a red power that isn’t a waste of AP in the hands of the AI.
Black Panther: No changes needed, although I’d like to see a reason not to go 5/3/5.
She-hulk: Green power rework needed, maybe a stronger blue too.
Doc Ock: Needs more damage and/or cheaper active abilities. Could be released with just some number changes.
Beast: Rocket & Groot is too similar for Beast to just be tweaked. Needs a total rework.
Colossus: I think he’s very close to being a good character, just lacking a good teammate to use Fastball Special with.
To be vaulted:
Invisible Woman: Nobody is currently interested in maxing her. Needs to be scary on defense, at least. How about bubbles always applying to enemy tiles when they are available? Did they ever fix Invisibility? – it used to not work on defense at all.
Spider-man: Still popular for reasons I can’t fathom, so maybe he won’t be vaulted. The worst widely available 3* character.
X-Force Wolverine: Won the character poll twice in a row. Not as broken as the original CMags, but still too game-changing. Possibly too much of a money-generator for it to happen, but I’d still like to see him taken out for a season and given minor nerfs. Say: green costs 9 AP. Or: black level 5 doesn’t generate AP.
I believe they have fixed Invisibility. Just played a match against her, and she dropped an Invisibility on herself, and as the last woman standing, I spent several turns not being able to damage her until I finally managed to line up a yellow match.
I’m almost certain Hood will go. Spider-man and Hulk are also good guesses. For a fourth, maybe Sentry?
I don’t think Steve Rogers will be vaulted until after they have run Unstable ISO one more time at least. He always seems to be the featured character there…
