Topaz is a stone that can be a bunch of colors, why is that the choice for yellow? That’s the rarest color of Topaz, so it’s not even the one people are used to? Seriously it’s hard enough to figure out puzzles when they have good clues, but when the clues are just bad it makes it really frustrating!
Glad y’all did something different, but it needs more time to bake if you can’t do full research!
Yea that’s why i always wait for smarter people than me to do it first on here and post the results because my pea brain can never figure things like that out first.

Given the gemstone theme, yellow is really hard to represent. Would it cause more or less confusion to use citrine (only yellow gemstone a quick DuckDuckGo search that didn’t need a color modifier in the name)?
Personally, I’d have to look up (or use process of elimination) for citrine but could rely on topaz=yellow from vidja gamez…
Edit: Emeralds and Sapphires also come in a variety of colors (though the game uses the most common color variant for them, so less of an issue).
Someone hasn’t played a Zelda game I guess (shrug).
I’m colorblind so they look pink to me.

In Diablo, Topaz is yellow. Pretty standard for most gamers.
In real life, when I think of topaz gems, I always think of yellow.
I’ve always (in context of fantasy books and video games) heard of topaz as a yellow gem. Plus process of elimination makes it pretty obvious for this puzzle too.
The only Topaz I know is the Hitcock film… I don’t play many games and haven’t played Diablo this millenium.
No, this was a terrible choice. At least use some other word to make it clear it is yellow.
