Vip subscription

I don’t generally post here but have been playing the game for a while now. I feel that by posting this here it has the best chance to be seen by the developers and hopefully getting looked into. I’ve brought this up in my coalition channel and I can’t speak for all the players just myself. I have considered VIP but am unlikely to do it as I hate monthly reoccurring subscriptions. Why doesn’t MtGPQ offer 90 day and yearly VIP subscriptions to their game. Most game subscription services offer these. I’m perplexed as to why they don’t. This has been the only game that I’ve even considered subscription to other than a couple of my former MMORPG games. Warcraft, DDO, and EVE Online. I think they need to rework the VIP subscription packages. I think the 30$ monthly one is crazy for a reoccurring monthly game subscription. Increase the cost of the two lower tier ones buy 5 dollars; increase the rewards earned from them, and drop the higher tier completely. Offer 90 day and yearly bundle deals on those tiers and players save x % on said 90 day or yearly bundles.

Not sure I would take this well as personally it is easier to deal with the once a month payment, as a large yearly one would be harder to cover at nearly any time of the year.

I just stick to the middle tier, though the higher one was tried a couple of times in better times. At times some may go for Master for the extra two deck slots per walker. Nixing that might have issues for them as well.

I think the top two also have the appeal of the monthly renewal bonus, which I don’t think you get with the weekly basic and not when switching between any of the price tiers. Not sure if that would survive with what you proposed

Thinking and looking at this more, maybe there could be some potential, but that depends on how it goes. Seeing your OP when I did at work on mobile, that is one downside of how mobile for the new forum is - that you can’t look back at the full post when replying to double check nuance, as you can only see the text box of your own response. My worry stemmed mostly from focusing on the raising the rates across the board, which seemed like a major part of your suggestion, not taking in that you meant it to be in tandem, together, with an increase in value. The nixing of the top tier - if that is how you might put it - I guess could be more you looking at it as overly or excessively priced for what it adds. I haven’t personally ran with it myself in a while (not since I found out that switching back and forth doesn’t increase your level, not for clout but for the rewards that it actually gives as you renew each month, even including elite or masterpiece or PM2 packs on occasion), so I’m not sure I would have the best knowledge of how the top one is anymore, as Pro does about well enough for me. But with the increased pace now, it does cut things close.

I do like to support the game when I can, and would like it to be accessible to others, even if they have different playstyles. What seems the most pushed strategy is to either gather everything or focus on the most powerful things, which both gear to being more competitive and perhaps some could say try hard. The resulting atmosphere may be stiffling those who play the game as more explorative types. I’m kinda tangenting, but the thought process is that VIP is an option to progress in the game even if not getting the perfect win-rates that get pushed on the competetive/collect-everything side, as from time to time with the non-dupe packs gathered throughout each month, some can pull higher rarity cards even when one still has commons and uncommons and rares left to go, which take more effort to clear out of the way than those with established collections may realize unless they have taken a break from the game themselves. But even then, does it make sense in the process to get VIP unless one is already gotten established some and expects to stick around? So your post idea feels like it could be nice if better rewards for things are added - to help players progress along, or in general play more to their liking; but potentially could curse for raising the rates of everything - perhaps for obvious reasons, unless older rates somehow grandfather in. Just kinda cautious of any chance WotC may take to make things more expensive, without a way of really making things better.

PS: I would change my reaction from the thumbs-down to a upside-down face because of some remaining conflictions, but seems it has been too long since I did so and so it is stuck that way. So here is this [disclaimer?].

I’m not suggesting that they get rid of a renewable monthly subscription just that the addition of a 90 day and yearly subscription might generate increased revenue.
