I have to say, I love how each walker’s “signature” creatures get a partner buff that fits what that walker is trying to do. The flavor is really sweet.
Also, the card designs look pretty great right now, so nice job! (assuming they all work, that is)
1 Question: There appear to be a cycle of Rares and Mythics that are not cards from WAR. Will these be event/paid for/vip exclusives? Or were they made for another reason?
That’s correct. These cards are also from older Ravnica sets, if memory serves. I’m too lazy to go check Gatherer though, so please feel free to call me out if I’m wrong.
I find it entertaining that there are yet MORE cat creatures (not complaining, mind you) in this set… I mean, I don’t read up on MtG lore or card creators, but is this, like, a known trend?
There are no cats in the lore (besides Ajani and the leonin, if they count), but people like cats and Cat Tribal is a thing people like to make for casual commander and stuff, so WoTC likes to throw out new ones every so often.
Same reason we randomly have snakes, beasts, legendary bears, birds, or cards with the “leviathan, octopus, kraken, or serpent” specific abilities or types.
Apparently Werewolves are in the minority since they were only featured with… two?.. expansions… Arlinn’s just in as a Support because everyone else is…
