I could of swore last week there was a flash announcement for those that used gold points to buy slots for characters would have those points refunded? I never saw anything happen for me- Was this actually done for others?
No, but there was an HP refund for people who previously paid for alliance slots.
I thought this too - but no rewards so far

Those that had previous bought alliance slots were refunded their hp since all alliances are 20 slots now.
Alliance slots, not roster slots.
