I recently joined the 5* tier and now that I’m leveling multiple 5*s, I’ve noticed a couple oddities:
I was looking at leveling up Black Bolt in advance on him being an essential in the upcoming PvE. He currently sits at 255. The cost to level him to 256 is 1474 ISO. Every other 5* I have at 255 (some classic, some newer) the ISO cost is 1074.
I recently leveled my Professor X from 300 to 315. The ISO costs by level bounced all around:

I don’t remember exactly but thought every other tier the ISO costs were either the same or more for each additional level. Was there ever any explanation as to why the costs here are inconsistent and non-linear?
I think they vary by character and/or cover distribution. I’ve seen a few 5’s at the same level with iso-8 requirements. But I found that the iso-8 requirement for the 15 block is pretty much the same, +/- about 5 iso-8
You’ve been around the game long enough to have entered the 5-star tier, and you’re still expecting explanations about how things like that work?
I asked that question a few years ago when I noticed similar discrepancies in ISO leveling costs with Silver Surfer… The other four tiers are all a relatively nice straight line in ISO costs per level. 5-stars, as you noticed, jump all over the place. I’ll let you know when I hear an answer.
