"Whaling" Strange

Hello,

I wonder if it makes sense to try to ‘whale’ Strange 5*. My stashed cp allow me to pull 48 times from his token. I guess I will get some extra Strange LT’s during his release. In theory I can get around 5 covers (maybe 1 will be yellow). The real question is - is it worth it?

For the same amount I can pull 60 times from classics and should get 9 covers. None of my 5* is well covered (IM at 3-2-2 is the best, OLM is 2-1-1 and Phoenix is 2-5-0). So 9 covers can help me get one of them to useful level. If that is the best solution I will probably wait couple of releases till BBolt is in the classics and I have a larger stash of CP.

I could also pull 50 time (surely will get some extra CP) when Strange is added to the latest tokens. That would give me 9-10 5* covers that could include both Strange and BB (and I like both).

I might also keep stashing until they solve the dilution of the 5* rate in the classics but who knows when/if this happens. Any advice?

I would say hold onto them for now. It took someone 2000+ cp to max out Strange. Plus, while he may be good in PVE, I’m not sure if I would want him to be your best 5*.

Well - the ambition was never really to max cover him. And PvE would be his main use anyway. I don’t want to rush into 5* PvP anytime soon. So a good PvE 5* to clear the nodes is always appreciated. However I kind of agree that with the nerf he is not that great. He does 500 damage on 1 yellow cover so I would need 2 or 3 of them to fall my way to make him relevant againts goons (anything to speed up the PvE grind).

Any idea how long his vault will be open?
