What a disappointment

Nobody touches me when im Shielded for 1 day. But once I’m out, got plummeted by 100+pts. How stupid this game is treating us. Seems like the developer intentionally places us on all radars once shield is broken even on 1st fight just to make sure we waste more time. Frustrating!

We don’t advertise shielded players as possible opponents anymore. (Someone could already have you in their queue when you shield, and they can still successfully attack you - points for them, no points loss for you.)

Once the shield is broken, you have the same chance of being shown to other players as you did before you shielded.

But doesn’t that prevent players from moving up the ranks once all the top players are shielded? Everyone unshielded is just running around attacking each other and not moving up.

Engaging in a good game should be fun and not frustrating. With all the nerfs in place, battles are slowing to a crawl. While I was scrambling to recover my previous position in 1 fight, 3-4 others hit me. It became a tournament of chance rather than skill

Sorry to reopen this, but it appears that the old problem still stands. Shield were orginally introduced, other than as a help for pvp coughmonegrab cough, as a partial solution to reaching progression rewards of tournaments.
Now that shielded players are REMOVED from the target pool, anyone can hardly reach 1000 and last rewards being at 2400 (!), we are back to the beginning, only it’s worse. (see old quote)

Is this being addressed somehow?

The most sensible fix would be to make progression rewards track total points gained without deducing the losses, with a separate counter that the one used for ranking. Your take?

Yep, we’ll have updated progression reward thresholds in PvP events soon (I was just working out what those numbers should be today, actually!). (There’s typically some lag between when we make a change like this and when it shows up in events, since a number of events are already tested and ready to go.)

I like the idea of tracking points for the progression rewards instead of deducting.

Yep, grats, you found the perfect formula to force using shields ensuring no chance to stay anywhere without. At least as long as they are used. I hope people form some coalition to boycott or refuse playing this rigged BS soon.
