All lengthy rants about my recent horrible 5* dry streak aside… I recently did some buy clubs $$$ to beef up my classics and something awful and highly unusual occurred:
I pulled 6 straight 4* Riri Williams. SIX!!!
Any number crunchers who can do statistics what are the odds of that happening ? Should also be known I’ve gone 1 out of 37 on classics and 1 out of 17 on latest pulls putting me at a pretty abysmal pull rate… 2 five stars out 54 pulls and all that unwanted Riri action.
That is awful! On a lesser note I have drawn three 3* Luke Cage yellow the last couple of days (he already is 5/3/4). And no ISO to speak of. That is RNG for you.
When I said this game’s RNG likes streams too much I was told that was me non understanding statistics (by the way OT question for english speakers, was my grammar correct?? )
Were those your only 6 pulls? Seems unlikely. The probability of getting any given streak of 6 over a large number of pulls is much higher than the probability of getting a specific cover six times from only six pulls.
“non” should be “not”, and “streams” should probably be “streaks” but other than that you have it correct. “Non” essentially means “not”, but is used as the beginning of a word, not alone by itself. Nonsense, nonbeliever, nonlinear, etc.
The odds of pulling 6 straight Riri covers is exactly the same as the odds of pulling an Agent Venom, Medusa, Peggy, Wasp, Bl4de, and Coulson cover in that specific order…or any other gorup of 6 covers that you come up with after the fact.
Your odds of pulling Riri on your next pull? The same 7% that it was on every other pull.
The odds of pulling any 6 of the same character in a row is actually much lower at about 1:560,000, and in fact at 7 million pulls you are FAR more likely to see a streak of 6 than not.
