First of all:

Offers 4 fdn booster for 5 matches.
Fbthp another one on a weekly basis.
The amount and frequency of events is much higher than it ever was before. Especially the bfta event appears several times in contrast to the prior webcore time.
Webcore is doing a great job providing us with things we need. They ARE listening.
So far, so good.
Webcore also managed to keep up with paper, no more 6+ weeks to wait until paper finds its way to mtgpq. Wonderful. Great job!
The downside is: too many sets in a limited number of months, making it impossible to collect all cards in time prior to the next release.
PM2 will take months or even years to complete or 1000 Euros regular or 700 Euros on gold sale in case you are willing to spend money
Other sets with regards to their size may take 2 to 3 month with vip to complete.
Without vip, it clearly relays on crafting resources to complete a set. And those are very limited to newer players, while veteran players are happy to spend some. The newest set, of course, is not craftable…
Events are another way to get new cards, but they are very luck dependent, and event rewards are only available for those who are already able to compete in a reasonable amount.
The fastest way to complete a set is paying money.
This game is completely added free. You can watch an ad to get resources. But this is limited too.
There are tons of apps annoying us with ads, so I am very happy that these games don’t.
In case you are a free to play user paying no real money for this game, you will not be able to collect all cards no matter how hard you try.
Those who are willing to spend money have better chances depending on the amount. The developers fully depend on this income.
The games cardset contains 8517 regular cards plus 711 full art cards.
There are also 15 hidden cards from the hydra event summing up to 9243 cards.
Almost 100 full arts are currently not made available via fblthp, and it looks like this number is growing faster than fblthp can provide them to us in an affordable manner.
My main account is holding 9114 cards and is more than 8 years old, while an account created 8 months ago holds only 1112 cards with 1001 commons and uncommon.
This describes perfectly the gap between new players and veterans. Players are paying real money and those who don’t.
I have no solution for this issue. I know the Arena offers a solid base of common and uncommon cards to new players.
I have also suggested offering special booster containing like 50 to 100 commons and uncommons in standard or legacy.
I think the current close release of sets was an exception, and with 2025, everything goes normal again.
Use the time until the next set to open as many boosters as possible and craft as many cards as possible because we all love to find or most wanted cards this way.
Good luck to everyone.
