Question 1 will take me awhile to answer but I’ll try to do something. I can maybe contribute something actually useful here instead of just starting fights.

Yeah, you are one of the few reasons I had to put the “OR”. Hopefully this one is so engrained in personal preference it won’t spin in to an argument/debate, but be damn sure we will try!
MM is amazing at 5 star, easily one of my favorite ascended thus far. He is one of the most versatile characters in the game, and does it while being a top tier character. If anyone cares enough, we can start another thread on him and his value and or do videos. I understand the win condition mindset, but I enjoy using him for too many other teams.
TBH my main focus is getting 3-star Magneto ascended to 5-star because he hits like a freight train in villain Lightning Rounds. I have the vast majority of the 4-stars ascended; my favorites are…

My dupe Wolfsbane is at 271, and I have her targeted so I can get Sunspot covers. I’ll ascend her once she’s max/max.
Highest level 4a5 is Juggernaut at 510
Highest level 3a5 is Deadpool at 491. I had three copies when ascension started, so I got him to 5-star quick.
Highest 2a5 is Electro at 521
Highest 1a5s are Juggernaut and Spider-Man at 550
See this is exactly the sort of thing that happens to me - as soon as I get Coulson ascended something will happen to make him immediately useless like he is only allowed to fight 6* or they are nerfing all countdown tiles or he only works with ascended Puck!

Coulson can’t now because of the max damage per turn limit. So all bonus damage will just be wasted.

MM and Coulson isn’t about damage, it’s the insta win. bring ap boosts in all colors. Fire MM yellow on every color. There are now a ton of CD tiles from Coulson and Coulson generates ap every time a CD expires.
Let the enemy take a turn and wait for your CD’s to resolve. You now have a giant pile of ap and can fire MM yellow until you have enough MM tiles to insta win the match.

Ah, yeah, I never use him for that win condition because like Daz I can never get it to work (probably because my characters are still 4 stars and can’t survive much damage).
All these (MM and other such wins) could be trivially fixed by just putting a simple clause on the insta-win that says it can’t trigger before turn X (could be turn 5, turn 10 etc). No need to nerf anything else about either character other than delaying the auto-win to a specified turn count.
