What questions would you ask the game?

When you’re looking for specific characters or abilities, what are some questions you would want the answer to?

Please humor me and type your ideally legitimate questions here. Dont hold back, the only rules are it must be about the gameplay, characters supports etc.

I imagine some folks are going to get silly, so Im going to out some examples of what I’m talking about.

Examples:

  1. Who makes the most strike tiles
  2. Who are the best blue batteries
  3. Which characters do a lot of damage with X color
  4. Who can stun the entire enemy team
  5. Who rewards you casting abilities
  6. Which of my characters team well together

Who has a random board shake-up - here defined as 4 or more random tiles destroyed - in their strongest color?
The same question, but with damage boosting supports factored in? (so it could now be their other two powers elevated by the support)
Do not include characters who limit damage or ap gain from cascades.

Also, bonus deeper question, is there a level inflection point where the supports become useless because the difference between the base damage of the colors is too great for the support to overcome.

Is that too crazy ?

I think any that align to season/weekly/daily quests:

Who creates [colour] tiles? Cost/effect to trigger.
Who creates countdowns in each rarity and for what AP?
Ditto repeaters
Ditto charged tiles etc.

Who ate my lemon meringue pie that was in the fridge? -looks at Blob-

Hot damn, @WampaX isn’t effin around!

First off, thank you both very much for helping! Anyone else with legitimate questions keep em coming.

@WampaX

Who has a random board shake-up - here defined as 4 or more random tiles destroyed - in their strongest color?

I’m guessing you mean their strongest colored ability is the ability doing the destruction, not destroying their strongest color tiles on the board?

If so, here (we did not specify whether you choose the first tile or whether SAPs are involved, like Drax or Wasp) and thank you for this one!

If you meant the latter, should be only Sentry.

The same question, but with damage boosting supports factored in? (so it could now be their other two powers elevated by the support)

Do not include characters who limit damage or ap gain from cascades.

Oof, I dont personally believe any of the “don’t gain AP from cascades” do what they say… but fukit. So that would basically be anyone with 4 or more random destruction on any of their abilities, but no cascade penalty? That’s a long one.

Also, bonus deeper question, is there a level inflection point where the supports become useless because the difference between the base damage of the colors is too great for the support to overcome.

Not sure what you’re asking here. Supports should never become useless, so I think i need more specifics.

Like, could your match damage get so high that the Supports that increase match damage couldn’t change your strongest color?? If so, Im just gonna answer this as me and say yes, definitely. Multiple characters skyrocket their match damage, some, like Beast can diverge thousands.

Ultimately, that last one is definitely overly complex, but the others very digestible if worded correctly. I made some changes because of these. Thanks again!

Thank you @Scofie your color questions actually cought some stuff i needed to fix too.

Since yours aren’t specific im not going to post them all here, but if you actually did want the detailed answers to any of those, just LMK.

It will look like this (it scrolls down per less tiles):

As for your CD and repeater ones those would produce a giant list (187 for CDs and 75 for repeaters, to be exact) and fortunately are already tagged and could be easily pulled, you can even sort them by just the abilities (clicking the ability opens the details there too).

Thanks to you however, we can also search things like, who creates the most repeaters?

Please note, that though I am confident in a lot of this data, things can always be missed. If you know something that was missed, please LMK!

For repeaters 5Jubilee creates 8 of them at start, though they are locked. I always use this to do the match/destroy repeaters quest as you can match them twice, and dont need to gather ap first.

For countdowns shenanigans I use the 5Clint/Coulson team.

And Cardusa+Mantis has a lot of mileage when it comes to quests. Countdowns, stuns, make attacks etc… all in one.

Either I’m misunderstanding the questions above or AoA Magneto should be in those answer lists and isn’t?

One of the things I’ve quite enjoyed about the game that is kind of along the same lines as these questions is spotting two characters that create a loop by creating a specific colour and being paired with a character that does the same but in the opposite direction: such as Iron Fist 3 (purple to black) & Purple Man (black to purple) , Magik3 (purple to black) & Purple Man. (still black to purple) , Echo (red to black) & MODOK (black to red).

It would be cool to have a table of everyone who makes each colour from each colour to see how many of these infinite loops exist. I guess there’s 30 possible colour transitions. Which ones do and don’t exist? Which ones are debatable? You probably can’t count Cyclops 3 as a yellow to red converter for example because you quickly run out of TU tiles to convert.

This was why the breakdown in rarity is helpful. I tried to complete today’s quest of “match/destroy 15 repeaters” in DDQ as I can’t use Jubilee or 5☆Magik in Heroic PvE.

Jubilee/ Magik only for 9 in the two modes so I had to think outside the box as Purple Man failed to deliver (forgot to change supports to Black generators). I ended up trying with Human Torch, Blade etc. This was ultimately unsuccessful so had to hit a Tower node.

And thanks @WhiteBomber! I shall go hit up those lists next time!

You don’t save Tower all month long for quests?

Yes, I do normally. The 15 wins with Mister Negative on a day without regular PvE made a dent. And if I can do it with DDQ I will. Makes DDQ a bit more fun too.

I always try to do them in DDQ too.
If i can’t get it done in the 2 nodes ( which is regularly the case) but the 4* node is still available, then i do Gorr and Cloak+Dagger with optional third. Gorr makes 3 repeaters straight away and if you flip C+D quickly then they make lots of yellow, match yellow and Gorr will make more repeaters to replace what you’ve matched.
I admit i fail at supports so i dont tend to bother with them too much. I’m hoping WB’s app will help me with them a bit.

Awesome. I never played Gorr much so forgot he created 3 countdowns at the start. Below the 4☆ tier, the repeaters are linked I think.

I am relatively limited in my knowledge of some of the various support ranks, but a Yellow generator on C&D (sanctum or SP/DR) and a purple generator (widow batons or quantum realm) would speed up the creation of them.

Bro use purple man for the repeater quests he makes 10 use 3 star fist with him to make black and you can clear the 50 repeater quest easily

Ah yes, Magneto5 should be in that list. There are a couple of strangely worded ones that I’ve been having to correct, like him…

Me repeater list did have Jubes on it, but further down for some reason. So, still there, but i will make sure she is counted correctly.

@Grantosium not sure if that was actually a question, but here you go.

KEEP IN MIND! These create color tile abilities might be the most poorly and inconsistently written abilities in the game. There is literally no way to know for many of them if they actually create additional color, without just trying them (see Famine, Bonita etc. I will not be doing that part), but this list should be relatively close. I even pulled the wildcards who creates based off strongest color etc. for you.

I typed all this and then realized I can’t attach files, only pictures… sooooo…

TLDR, there aren’t many other combinations like Purple man and Magik, Fist that are just press this button, now that button to make 2 different colors.

Alot of the other ones are the ones like Horsey Press red, Juggy press green, Darkveil press yellow which have other variables that keep em going.

It was honestly immediarely surprising when they released Purp the way they did, just like Horse. Anyone who knows the game caught those mistakes.

Question with room for artistic interpretation.

Ironically you only listed Purple Man’s blue ability and not his black one. Maybe that’s how BCS missed it too.

Thanks to the table I’m tempted to try running Rescue again, possibly with Ragnarok, possibly in a Lightning Round and maybe experiment with Blade alongside Echo.
