OK so my game got updated R342 but looking at the latest still no heroic mode in the PVE and PVP what gives?
The first rule of Heroic mode is that you have to be heroic enough to find Heroic mode.

All events were already running when the forced update hit. Gotta wait for new events to start…
well the new PVE started after the patch and still no heroic mode option. Rocket and Groot. PVE. also there seems to be no heroic mode option for the next PVP

We should probably still be asking “What is Heroic mode” coz It’s still not 100% clear to me. Unless I missed something. Entirely possible. Probably hidden behind Shatterstar’s bulge.

The new PVE preview was up before the update to be fair. It just missed the cut.
As for Heroic option. It’s node based, not event based.

I still see no heroic, even in nodes. Where is it?
My assumption is they wouldn’t implement Heroic nodes when they’re not in to fix issues etc. It’s also possible things have been going worse than they thought with implementation.
In any case they’re off for a couple days now. Maybe the pve that starts next Wednesday will have Heroic nodes. Not sure when pvp will have them, you’d think a new season but I would probably suggest starting it in an off season.
Reading between the lines, they were quite actively posting in the lead up to new season and then vanished after Tuesday. Either launch failed or launch was aborted and no one drew the short straw to have to tell us.
I just don’t see them hyping it up, stating it start swith r342/new season and then deliberately planning for it to be a week later. They wouldn’t have pushed the forced update button until at least Monday if that were the case.
A Heroic X-Men vault is up and running, perhaps next week we get an X-Men based heroic event where only x-men can be used?
More info would definitely be nice…

Actually the more I think about this I can see why they needed to postpone Heroics until after Shatterstar’s PvP given the bulge issue.

According to @S0kun and the update calendar the first Heroic event will be June 3rd and have X-Men as affiliation.
This however is the boost list
This means that the only boosted Heroic characters are Magneto AoA and 2star Nightcrawler.
So we are expected to try and win against SamJuggs, boosted 1as5Juggs with boosted Iron May, boosted 2as5Ares with boosted Iron May, boosted Kaine, boost IHulk (paired with Frankie or Moondragon or so), etc..
@TheMigz Since we still have a week, please go back to the drawing board. Expecting people to use unboosted characters on top of restrictions isn’t worth the meager rewards update.
Assuming the boost list is the same as the heroic list, 2a5 Ares and Iron may was the team I would have been running anyway. Green ap boosts and soul stone = game over in 5 seconds.
Ihulk with gamma reactor support and 1a5 juggernaut is also a great team! Kind of sucks that they’re boosted together in the same week that an even better team is boosted.

The Heroic list is X-Men affiliation. Neither Ares or Iron May are available, but they sure can hit your unboosted X-Men.
Did you miss the part where I said using an assumption that the boost list is part of the heroic? I have not seen anything official that X-Men are the only ones allowed, so I’m making an assumption that the boost will be allowed.

You are replying to a post stating that yes, EXACTLY THAT, lol. X-Men are the Heroic affiliation for that event. If you want to do the node as Heroic only character with the X-men affiliation can be used. So yes, Ares and Iron May can’t be used to do the fight as Heroic. This is a fact.
You can use them for Normal of course.
You said that sokun made an unofficial comment that the heroic will have an X-men Theme. Unless he specifically made it clear that that means x-men and x-men only (I don’t know, I haven’t seen what he said I just have a vague second hand account) then I don’t see why that can’t mean The boost list is allowed and then any X-men characters are allowed in addition to the boost list.
Maybe you can clarify if he said X-Men and only X-men will be allowed and despite the boost list.
What is the benefit of heroic mode? If that has been indicated somewhere, I haven’t seen it yet. Thanks.
