I dont have much of a roster, but wanted to add a little bit of flavor to my im35/storm/modern black widow team.
Which of the daily deal heroic packs are the best value?
It looks like I’m better off just buying the daily deal of the day.
How much value do you guys put into getting a guaranteed Hulk or Punisher?
None. Save your HP for cover slots. Trust us, you’ll need it.
And neither Hulk nor Punisher look like they’re going to be all that great; Hulk may be useful as a meat shield, but that’s it.
I for one would not buy any. I’ve been playing since day one and spent money early on. What I’ve realized is that no cover is worth actual money except maybe rags or Spider-Man but the odds of pulling them are not good enough to justify spending money IMO. Hulk and punisher covers are not worth anything, again IMO, and will be handed out like candy on Halloween shortly. My advice, buy slots or upgrade one of your covers
Seconding the recommendation on cover slots.
I have 23, which for many is kind of low (I ended up having to sell a number of characters – at least one of them level 30).
When you have serious HP, spend them on powering up *** characters; do this when the time comes. For now, cover slots.
I should preface this with - I already bought like 23+ covers…I don’t imagine being able to fill them up for the time being.
Since there are 30 possible characters to get right now, I would argue that until you have 30 slots, you should invest more into them. Granted, 4* characters and crappy 1*s aren’t necessary, but you never know when you might need a bag-man in the future.
Well, if money is no object, the Diabolical pack guarantees you 5 3* characters… even if one of them is Loki. It’s expensive, but it has Magneto, Ragnarok, Doom, Hood, and… well… Loki. At least 3 or 4 of those are good (depends on if you like Doom or not).
Otherwise, I’d recommend the Widow pack, with a guaranteed 3* BWGS. She’s one of the better 3*s.
If you’re dead set on Punisher or Hulk, go Hulk. Particularly since you should already have one or two covers from The Hulk event already… I hope.
The 100 HP once-a-day Heroics are pretty decent IMO, if you have enough cover slots already. I’m a collector, so I consider “enough” to be at least one more than the number of characters currently available in the game.
Doesn’t say guaranteed 3* for that one. “One or more ** or better Widows guaranteed!” Plus those tokens would make him sub out the MBW from his original team, doesn’t give him alternatives for IM35 or storm. //** or //*** is still gonna get run over.
Also, am I the only person afraid of Loki now? His purple cascades have ruined a few matches for me.
I definitely like him but only use him in his lightning rounds with Mags so… there’s that 
I like Loki. Playing Loki and create cascade means that your team should have the rainbow colors powered.
Why not Loki (P - 57 ,B - 51, G - 44) / Magneto (P - 60 ,U - 67,Y - 52), IM40 or invisible woman / and C. Storm, Punisher for best Red & Green matching damage or Rag…with cascade spell too.
I saw that Magneto is same as BWGS with black, having high damage on a no-spelled color (yellow).
Magneto has 60 Red damage, not Purple. Based on your rainbow comment I believe this is what you meant and put a P instead of an R.
I’ve bought the daily heroic deal (the 100HP one) for a while, but honestly, the percentage of useful characters is so low it’s not worth it IMHO.
Now I’m just saving HP to level some good 3* covers… if I ever get one 
I think they should make a daily deal for a *** guaranteed for something like 5/600HP. Now that would tempt me a lot.
Guaranteed 3* tokens are running 1100 now. They haven’t been 500 (for a Spidey) since the very first few weeks of the game. We’ve seen this pricing for both Diabolical tokens and Spidey-only tokens.
The only reason 5/600 hp is sugested is because it is a daily deal obviously most people can’t buy them every day and besides it is quite random (could be im40 you don’t need) so I think 600 would be a fair price, although then the game will more likely become pay to win, with one or 2 people buying them daily or everyone saving up for them.
Well, if you have a bunch of cover slots, and are really just looking to upgrade your roster, the Gamma bomb tokens represent a pretty good deal. Wolverine (which is a great character, one of the best 2s), Cap (Who isn’t great, but sees buffing in a lot of events), Spidey (who is one of the premier 3s), and Hulk and Punisher (Both new, decent characters). The Diabolical packs are also awesome, but rather than get the 5-pack, I’d just get the daily deals slowly for them when you can. Extends the value, and you could get lucky and get a few covers of one of the better villians. They are expensive, though. (I forget, do they actually do a daily deal on the single token?)
I have 28 roster slots right now. I spend almost all of my HP in the beginning getting slots until I had enough for every character except Venom, Juggs and Yelena, who I will LITERALLY never use. I then try to have 1 extra for new characters. If they announce a new one, I save for a new slot, always keeping one open.
Invest the HP in slots. You’ll kick yourself if you have to sacrifice a good card because of it (I trashed a Spiderman my first week, for instance).
The reason to get the 5 pack instead is because:
Of the 7 or 8 Diabolical tokens I’ve gotten thus far in the game half have been Loki. I won’t be trying for any more, so that number will hold true for the foreseeable future 
Even so, too cheap. When a standard Heroic token is 500 w/o a daily deal, it makes no sense to have a guaranteed 3* be that price (or even close to it), even as a deal. At best it would be 800, but 900 would be more likely.
