The title says it all. Will Daken ever be fixed so that all damage is done at once instead of hit me, do damage, create tiles (and inevitably match tiles), create strikes, get more damage for newly created strike tiles. It’s good for him, as he now avoids getting damaged by my retaliations (i.e. 2* Storm), or avoidance (Spiderwoman).
Just venting. I feel better now. But seriously, he’s been broken for like 6+ mos w/ at least 2 promises that his fix will be in this update and that update.
I always figured he was working properly now, since the resolution actually fits the order in the power’s description perfectly. It does exactly what it says: 1) damage, 2) blue to green, 3) convert Strikes to damage.
Considering that the “fix” for Kingpin was “ignore it until we overhaul his black entirely,” I’m going with no.
The “damage happening as separate actions” issue is present in other characters still, too. If you have 2 opponents left and kill one with Bum Fist’s green, you won’t get the extra black AP - the first enemy dies, then he deals the bonus damage to the second.
I like “bug” but it is not an issue because it is on his worst power . It should technically do more damage this way you get the buff to the first set from the attack tiles that are on the board then from the removal. I am not positive if that is the way it work because frankly I never use his blue he is a regen tile spammer 3/5/5 all the way. His blue is only useful if you need to do a 1-2k damage at the end of the match.
There also isn’t anything in there saying it’s simultaneous. Both would be perfectly valid implementations of that wording. It’s at least not like Riri’s red, where the bit that’s described first actually happens last.
Ran into another reason the “glitch” is positive. I had a game where a character was under 1k health, with the 2 step damage, the first character will killed and the big chunk, when the tiles are removed, when to the next active character. That is a very nice effect glitch or not.
