I think I’m going to try logging into MPQ from my new phone for the first time. I play on a Kindle Fire HDX and this will be first time trying to load my backup from my Facebook save data and play on a second device.

I’ve read horror stories from other players about losing their entire accounts or having their accounts overwritten, but also that CS has restored accounts when that happens. To be on the safe side, I’ve updated the app to the most recent version on both devices. I’ve also taken screenshots on my Kindle of pretty much every screen I can think of:

  1. My home screen to show ISO, HP and CP amounts
  2. My Daily Resupply screen to show what day I’m on
  3. My VIP screen to show where I am in that cycle
  4. My SCL screen to show my rank and IGN
  5. My entire roster
  6. My Rewards screen to show which covers I’m currently holding
  7. Every token screen for tokens I’m hoarding to show the number I have of each

Hopefully nothing will go wrong, but if it does hopefully I have enough documentation that my account can be fully restored with minimal issues.

Success! I didn’t have a single issue at all. Everything was there when I opened the game on my phone. I played through DDQ and closed the game, then opened it back up on my Kindle. Everything I had played on my phone carried over to my Kindle. I’ll still probably play primarily on my Kindle, but the nice thing about playing on my phone is that it lets me post messages to my alliance. Anytime I tried on my Kindle the app froze and I had to force quit and restart the app. Of all the times I tried to post a message in my 220+ days of playing I think a message posted maybe two or three times.
