With the updates to 4* Wolverine, what do you believe is the best build for him?
5/5/3. Yellow is not reliable, taking as many as 3 turns to become healing or damage, and even at 5 covers he will still need 3+ heals to get to max. I dont think it’s worth investing in. And if you just want damage then new green is much better even considering the slightly higher cost.
I believe the 5/3/5 boardshaker build is still the best. Yellow costs now only 6 AP which makes it much easier to get out.
His rework allows you to go 5/5/3 but neglecting the yellow reduces both the heal and the boardshake from matching the yellow countdown, so I still prefer the 5/3/5 build as I did before the rework. I don’t feel the particular need to go 5/5/3 because his primary skill is still his green and this already synergizes with BRB Polaris for the winfinite, so getting AP from his black is not a priority for me but the option is there.
Tl;dr 5/3/5 for max boardshake/winfinite with BRB Polaris, 5/5/3 if you want AP steal/shutdown strongest enemy color’s AP
