Currently my X-Force is at level 166 with a 5/2/5 build - I don’t have the available HP to buy 3 black covers
I have 12 other maxed 3* & another 12 ish between levels 140-157.
Currently I never use my x-force as I think @ lv 166 he is inferior to top-tier 3*.
I haven’t levelled him beyond lv 166 for PvE scaling reasons.
Should I be thinking of levelling him, despite his less than ideal cover distribution? If so to what level?
I also have a Fury with 3/4/3 and a Devil Dino at 2/2/5, both are still level 74, should I bring them up to partner X-Force?
To date, I have resisted moving into the 4* arena as I can’t compete on a level playing field with sub-optimum cover distribution for x-force & no 4hor (1/1/1). Am I better off staying where I am until more/better covers?
I would wait until you have better black covers. Once you max his black, level him up to at least 221 without question, he’ll blow away every single three you have.
I used 5/2/3 X-Force (172 lvl) for 2 seasons and he is perfectly usable - his
is top tier and
even with 1 cover can be useful. I suppose you play with LThor, but if he’s locked you should consider bringing X-F. That being said, for higher pvp you could level him to at least 200.
As for others - your Fury is worth leveling with 3/4/3 covers, but forget about Devil Dino.
My X-Force is 4-1-4 (lvl 140). His level is in line with other toons I have - Thor, Patch, Blade, Deadpool, Hood, BP - all of them are at 140 for the time being. I intend to bring Thor and Hood to 166 as the next step (but it takes a lot of iso). I will bring X-Force with them to 166 as well. The question is - should I add fifth cover in green (i will have enough HP this season - I keep reserve for slots so I need to get to certain level before I buy a cover). Or maybe it’s better to add another black?
As he is now I seldom use him. He can heal effectively but his skills are not better than what I have from others.
There is quite small difference between 1-3 black, and since you already have covered Thor you don’t really need another green user, just save your HP for now.
Thanks Raziel777. My thinking was that he can pair well with Deadpool for some extra wins in the PVP (his green after Deadpool red could be rather good while we wait for the Whales). Second team would be Thor with Hood. Without the fifth green he is not really there. But I will wait for now.

Your XF at 5/2/5 is on route and getting him to at least L250 (I recommend not going past because pasted above) is great because when those
eventually come you will not have to invest
then. His green is still vicious.
Fury and Dino as you have them are worthless. Fury is not worth 1
until he is 13 covers and properly spec’ed. Dino is good only after XF, 4Thor and Fury are done.
X-force needs more black to be useful. I disagree with others saying devil dino is not worth leveling. At 5 purple covers, he will be shaking the board every other turn. Also, animation takes so long that most people without maxed xforce or gt will skip you. Fury needs 5 blue to be halfway useful
The whole ‘worth enough points’ shouldn’t even be mentioned because I seriously doubt people skip someone worth 40 points to them, and it’s not like the game offers you those matchups very often until you’re already very high up in points, enough such that the game cannot reasonably give you the preferred low point values instead. Due to the game’s significant lag in your score, even if someone is worth 40 points to you, you won’t necessarily know it because of the lag involved in player’s score. Unless you have someone arranged to show up at the high end, the more likely scenario is that you’ll be seeing guys worth 20-30 and having X Force and Thor at 270 absolutely reduces the chance people will hit you, even if Thor is grossly overrated but you got to go with the popular opinion. There was a time Hulk was considered a deterrent too and again if you went against that, you usually get lit up even though that was a time where you had Spiderman with infinite stun and Magneto with infinite turns so it’s hard to see why Hulk would deter either of them, but it doesn’t matter because even if the world is wrong, you better go along with the dominant belief in the world or pay the prices as long as the game is overwhelmingly in favor of the attacker. I estimate the worst anyone can do is probably no less than a 90% chance to win if we’re talking about at least all maxed 3*s or better teams, so it hardly matters if your team really has a 10% chance to win on defense versus the 0% your opponent thought as you’re still going to lose the vast majority of the time.
