I’ve been hit pretty hard by nerfs over the past year.

Ages ago, I maxed out 3* Spider-Man at 3/5/5 and could stunlock any team to death. Then Spider-Man got nerfed. No biggie, Web Bandages could still let me play forever without using health packs, so I used a yellow cover and made him at 4/4/5. Then True Healing hit, and now Spider-Man is just a Protect Tile generator with a mediocre stun.

It didn’t matter. I managed to max out 3* Magneto at 5/5/3 somewhat before True Healing hit. He could kill any team by infinitely cascading with his blue and red skills that cost only 5 AP and 2 AP, so I almost never had to use health packs anyway. My MMR, fairly predictably, went through the roof, but I didn’t care because I could kill anything.

I got kind of bored with MPQ at this point, so I stopped playing for a while. I came back to find C. Mags nerfed, X-Force Wolverine actually powerful, my maxed out 3* characters no longer top tier, and me uncertain as to what to do next while I lost a bunch of matches.

What kind of team should I try to field, and who should I dump my ISO into next? My best characters at the moment are probably CMags and Punisher. Together they cover every color but Purple. I do have Patch at max level, but I can’t take advantage of his skills very well at the moment. Currently I’m dumping ISO into Black Widow (Grey Suit) because she’s got an active Purple skill and I’ve got her at max covers. It’s possible I should be leveling Human Torch instead, but he’s exactly the same colors as Punisher. What do you guys think?

I’d sit on the Iso for now.

I don’t see anything among your unmaxed chars that stands out. Hood needs 4-5 blue to really shine, and BP’s premier power is his black, so you’d want at least one more cover there before seriously leveling him. GSBW is apparently good in PVE, but she’s really not great in PVP due to her squishiness and the fact that the AI doesn’t know how to use DecTactics properly.

I have and dig my maxed GSBW. Agree that the AI doesn’t know how to use Deceptive Tactics. That said, if you pair her with Thor or Hulk, then her Deceptive Tactics takes a totally different toll. Suddenly, greens popping up all over the place means Hulk slaps the enemy team around. OFTEN.

I don’t dwell on covering all the colors when I can Color Deny with characters like GSBW and Doom. I also like her as a green battery, when paired with Patch, Thor, Punisher, etc…

For what you have cover maxed Psy and HT would be the ones to put some ISO into. They are both good characters and even at level 140 can do a lot of damage and be apart of a PVP or PVE rotation. Otherwise save your ISO until you can get more Sentry, LDaken covers. Psy and HT are fun to play with and CMags can still go with Patch. They are just not crazy broken now.
