you can pay but never join the Orzhov Syndicate event

With the newest update I get the following effect:
I pay the 20 crystals for Orzhov Syndicate - which are actually substraced from my stack - but nothing happens. The event already started but I can pay as often as I want (thanks) and will not be able to play the event.

I had no trouble. Paid it and was able to play.
