My guess is at minimum 1500 ppl will get the punisher cover this time around. There is not a single person above, say, 25k points that couldn’t get if they wanted as long as they have a single punisher cover, time, and a high lvl wolverine. @2%k they could jump about 10k+ just doing punisher missions 5 times each. 2 sets even still avail e for this sub mission.
The multiplier will go down as they rocket up the charts.
You still get 2k for the punisher missions when you are about 4-5k out of first. I fully expect first place to break the 54k mark by the end. The values drop based on mission completion but the multiplier is the same until they get within a certain range of first. Therefore, since I am assuming a 54+k final top score, I fully expect ppl to be getting huge max multipliers up until right before the 50k marker.
Yeah I am 1 for 3 on those 247 lvl baddies. Wish my spidey was maxxed.
50k about 20 min ago sealed the deal
Just hit 50K and am ranked 446 or so overall. Last time I got it on my second last fight and finished 7th overall haha. Either the devs changed things a bunch or more people worked this time.
Really surprised. A day or two ago, didn’t seem like we’d even get close. Happy for those that need it.

Got my 50k, started the at like at 44k. Still wish it was a black cover tho 
I wiped twice on them before I remembered the right strategy.
+3 all, +3 blue/purple, +3 green/black. Wolverine, Spidey, Hulk. Deny red. Stun lock Ragnarok if they get red, or when they get up to 6 green. Kill the minion first. Consider stunning Daken before matching green. Spam green as much as you can to deny the tiles to Daken. Match priority should be red, blue, green – just make sure you don’t let Ragnarok unstun. Kill the minion, then Daken, then Ragnarok.
You’ll probably have enough yellow at the end for a heal. Use it. Rinse, wash, repeat.

Currently 950 people at 50k+. Perplexed as to what is different from last time. Maybe the folks at the top were playing more efficiently?

Wait, so they can tweak this scoring but not the other tourneys?
Considering how it was set to run pretty much immediately after the last, I’d be surprized it anything was changed. But shrugs maybe IceIX or someone will pop in and say. Glad to get that 3rd red punisher cover.
Well the other one needs a client patch, this might only need a client side fix
I think the missions at the end are worth more points compared to last time. I don’t recall anyone even hitting 50K this early last time. We already have a 51.5K here. Last time I think the overall top score was 50.5K. It can’t be a matter of knowing how to play better because I’m sure we always had someone that just grinded everything.
Max mission points (2000) hasn’t changed. Seems very similar to me. A lot of people thought the refresh was 12 hours before, which is what I meant about efficiently.
I think if more people realized it was 8 hours this time around that would account for the differences alone.
But I still didn’t make full use of that, I have been doing the twoish grinddowns of each mission at least to get the 500iso rewards this time. And I’ll have 50k in about two hours.
Also more people having Hulk and Punisher to do those extra missions. More time maybe since crunch time was right around Xmas. The FAQ was up helping people understand how to be more efficient.
