I am a very active player that has been playing since the start. Just looking for some information from the vets on the proper progression from 2* to 3*. Also Just looking for confirmation that I am on the right track.
You are on right track. Finish Thor and Storm Classic as you plan.
With 3* it starts to be bit hard to give advice, because your preferences on characters and playstyle matters and available covers limit options. Personally, I can recommend IM40. I really like to team him with **Wolverine and Spider-man, after one Charge the match is usually over
So Wolverine might be an option for you as well, because you have him at higher level and more covers than Gray Suit at the moment.
**Magneto might be good third with IM40 and Wolve, because he could benefit from charge on his blue and red skills, though I am mainly mentioning this, because you have many covers on him.
Also save HP for cover space, that’s if you want to have all characters. I keep my cover space at one more than currently available characters, so 29 cover slots now.
I wouldn’t put anymore ISO into Thor, instead work on leveling up your Wolverine 2* and start maxing out your IM40.
Wolverine becomes much more effective at damage dealing than Thor is at the highest levels. Plus he has healing abilities which makes him hardier.
Wolverine’s strike tiles become an invaluable asset to dealing damage against these boosted characters that have 10k+ HPs. Also, if you are running with a boosted characters, it makes their attacks even more lethal (once you have 5+ strike tiles on the board).
I also tried to collect a lot of 2*s. I had widow, magneto, moonstone, daken, etc and the worst thing is I was investing ISO into them so they were all like level 40+.
I sold all of them yesterday except for wolverine/thor/storm because I realized that
wolverine/thor/storm are max or almost max, and they can contend well in the current meta.
the rest are basically just huge ISO sinks, and I have 3*s that need the ISO
even if I leveled up another 2* team to max, it wouldn’t be as good as my current 3 (magneto and widow are nice, but not better than storm/thor imo)
the time it would take to do this I’d be screwing over my transition to 3s. I have a fully powered IM40 and close to full powered black widow … but im40 is level 100 and black widow is like 50 something. they need so much ISO it doesn’t make sense to spend it on 2s anymore.
So I recommend you just sell all of them except for your 3 best ones that you like, and get into the mindset that you’re going to focus on transitioning to 3* heros. It’s a tough bullet to swallow because like you, I spent quite a bit of ISO on them but realistically in a month you’ll be looking at 2s like you currently do 1s. IE selling them as soon as you get them.
I have all 1* at max level and no intention of selling them. Venom was really useful in Impossible repeatable on last two days of Unstable. True, it’s bit situational, but you never know when you might need certain characters. I would say that as long you have space there is not need to sell any character, but that’s just personal preference
yah this is true. sometimes you need those guys, like during that juggernaut pve tournament a couple weeks ago when you had to use widow / im35 etc. that was really hard for me to do because I had to work with just one actual hero and a bunch of fresh pulls from packs
so let me change it to keep as many as you want, but don’t spend ISO on them
I’m actually finding that I’m using my 85 Thor less and less. My current preferred set up is
Iron man 40
Modern storm
And 2 star wolverine
Picking a woodland battle
Critical a wood tile, don’t go for forest fire just do 5 power up 4 times for 20 ap all colours. Blitz wolverine green slash 6 times, freeze with storm and recharge twice or so with iron man. Game done in few turns lol
Also I would get more roster slots and the 1 star chars, a lot still useful and some will have increased abilities in tourneys. Also you’ve list out if there is a one star event, you won’t be able to play well
For your roster, max Thor, c storm and 2 star wolverine. That gives you a solid offensive team. Then IM 40 and grey suit bw. Those will be your defensive stars. Of course max rag when ever you get covers.
