At least the devs are not giving out highly desired covers for this event. Blade has been around for some time and Mohawk Storm has been given out quite often. This allows us to play at our leisure without being too hung up on the prizes. I think it’s good.
I am psyched to be getting 3 blade covers since I got Racial slur removed. Don’t do it again. out on the last event cause I didn’t have a crummy ragnarok.
When you look at the preview of the rewards, you can click on the ‘event rules’ tab and thus see who’s buffed for the event
My guess,black powered heroes are buffed seein as the rewards are black power dominated.now that surgical strike will REALLY hurt!
“The Black Vortex” is an X-Men/Guardians crossover happening in the comics right now.
Looks like I’ll be playing the three I have maxed - Gamora, Groot and Carol. Would have been nice if Iron Man was boosted too though.

Shouldn’t have Captain Marvel been replaced with an X-men instead to stay consistent with this crossover storyline?
Captain Marvel is also part of the story. As far as I know the only X-Man who “should” be boosted and isn’t is Cyclops, but the version involved in the crossover is the teenage character, not the adult X-Men leader we have in the game.

Not necessarily. This is not the same kind of group boosting. This is tied into an event with a story, so there is a reason for the particular choice of characters that is story-driven, but mainly the boost effects are different.
- There are no boosted 1* or 2*, only 3* and 4*
- All characters have the same boost level - aka a big red crystal for everyone!
Basic observation skills thus clearly demonstrate that this is not the same kind of group boost as last week’s experiment. This is just an ordinary in-between season event, closest in design to Nefarious Foes or Children of the Atom.
What is the Black Vortex?
Answer: A regular pvp under a new name for the offseason. Nothing special.
