Two issues I’ve noticed that will make chatting with my alliance on my Android phone extremely annoying/difficult.
My SwiftKey keyboard doesn’t have the predictive text options or the ability to swipe to complete words in MPQ.
When I hooked up a bluetooth keyboard, each keypress resulted in 2 characters on the screen (i.e. pressing “m” once showed “mm” on the screen). The keyboard works correctly in other apps.
There are serious typing issues on the iPad as well. Selecting/editing text only works halfway, keyboard shortcuts (such as double-spacing to get a period) are ignored, and autocorrect is disabled.
But, even in the past when searching for an alliance (and in alliance chat) my keyboard only comes up as numerical. Basically, I can’t type any words (I could leave messages in binary - but that would be annoying).
Anyone else have this issue, or is it a config in my phone I need to fix… ?
Yeah, Swype isn’t really working. It does allow composing words via swipes, but it does not display the suggestions box, nor does it auto insert spaces after every word.
I have the same problem with keyboard on my phone (Gigabyte Guru G1, Android 4.2.1) in alliance chat: no typing symbols except of numbers. Patch R.51 did not help
