SO, at the moment the top scoring player in the Punisher LR, who just hit my Xforce, Hood, Punisher team beat me with an amazing loaner punisher, lvl 33 OBW, lvl 55 Doom team
.
I can’t help thinking the cheat detection should have sand boxed him already… or more to the point how has it not done so? Seems like the kind of thing that should instantly be picked up.
Ever since they put that post asking us to detect cheats for them my faith in their ability to detect even blatant cheating has been pretty shaky and it does leave a sour taste each time my team loses on defence to significantly weaker teams (not ridiculous like above but still a lot weaker) and I do wonder if I chalk too much up to the ai being terrible and boosts being game-breaking…
Still, made me chuckle when I clicked on a name I didn’t recognise hitting me in a LR and saw his roster. Thanks for the chuckle *******.
380 points with that team comp? I was struggling to find a combination of possibilities that could have led to the guy beating Bonfire, but getting 380 points in the LR with that team means only one thing…
I imagine that the cheat detection is better at detecting people getting free ISO and HP than it is at people using Instakills. Where do you set the threshold for something like that? I’ve had first turn kills on max Goddess, X-Force, Featured character in PVP with level 220 Goddess, 220 X-Force, loaner featured. Totally legit.
My maxed GT/XF/Hood team has been defeated for 186 points (several hits) by a level 40 to 45 team including Hood, OBW and Hulk, but most characters did not even have all the colours…
someone in my alliance just got hit by this guy too. had a max level Daken/Blade/Patch team beaten by lvl 33 OBW, lvl 45 Hood and lvl 40 hulk with no red or black powers…clearly something is up.
For the sake of fairness and following a path of “innocent until proven guilty,” please do not call out players by name in the forums who you believe may be cheating. Thanks!

Surely… and I mean SURELY you should be detecting someone with a loaner punisher, 33 OBW and 55 Doom beating a 141 full cover Punisher, 220 full cover Xforce and 166 Hood as cheating without my help. That’s where my incredulity lies. You see when I have, for example, a full level featured, 220 full cover 4Thor and 220 full cover XF out (a lot of PvPs) and I take a defensive loss to a surprising number of teams with a loaner and a couple of 130 ish 3*s how am I meant to know if that’s legit or cheating? Do I report everyone with a weak team who beats me… I’ll go even further and point out that, on occasion, the defensive losses hitting my shields end with “and more” so I can’t even see what kind of teams they have.
In this case it was beyond obvious… he was at 380 points in a LR with that team going out and still chugging along. IMO he should be sandboxed as soon as his device returned the win result vs my team, or any similar team.
Incidentally the main reason I was chuckling about it was his alliance was called bad karma… just too fitting for words
(I presume that’s ok since it’s not his/her name… )
I’m not disparaging you for posting about your experience or for being frustrated with what occurred. I’m just letting everyone know that we’d prefer it if you didn’t call out players by name in a public forum.
We have a system in place which catches cheaters constantly. But there’s always room to improve the automation of the system - and for help from the MPQ community with reporting those they suspect of breaking the rules.

As a side note, your 220s will go down to teams in the 130s with ease. In the Hood PvP, I was running level 135 Hulk and level 135 Patch in the late game and beat 3 different teams running 270 XForce, 270 Thor and 249 Hood. If the points are there, I only skip 270 XForce/Fury. Everything else is fair game.
While this instance definitely feels like cheating or a bug, you cannot underestimate just how poorly the AI plays 4Thor on defense - the 1000 monkeys on 1000 typewriters are more likely to produce the works of Shakespeare.

Just wanted to let you know that player was me, and I played fair and square! Don’t report, thanks. See ya round!
Well, since this thread is bumped. Any gameplay tips on how you were able to beat him then? Even if you were somehow able to AR faster than he could steal AP with hood, I can’t see how you kept the match damage at a reasonable level, or, you know, were able to do what, 30k of health damage with your only striker being a drastically underleveled doom
