Oh man. I remember one of the first threads I read on this forum was BigChris’ guide to getting a rare character with your first heroic token.
I was already a little past the point where it was viable (and I had pulled a BagMan with that first Heroic, I didn’t know at the time about his future.) I figured I wouldn’t have the patience to actually keep on restarting the campaign, so I didn’t really consider it.
A couple of months later, I wondered how the OP now felt about his 4* wolverine cover now that we knew better. It’s too bad you’ll be quitting right as he’s about to finally be buffed 4 months later.
no wonder many people quit. when the game turn to worst. cstorm op, nerfed, ragnarok op , nerfed. thorverine combo, op> nerfed. now many will use spidey , no option anymore, and he’s gonna be nerfed too. WTF.
so the dev want us to play sloooowly [using spidey is already slowly, but no damage]. makes us win/lose pretty wounded, but their item[boost/healthpack]. and if there any character becomes op after some hero nerfed. they will nerf him/her.
all the investment of iso/hp/time just gone away…why should we max any 3s 0r 4s when there is always a possibility to get nerfed.
license is not cheap? well marvel heroes and marvel ultimate alliance got so many heroes and still they got huge profit.
all dev update which said good for the game and players, mostly cosmetics. not touching the real problem.
giving new players bonus exp ,free 3s cover or iso could make new players interested.
I don’t mind nerfs but quit being fed up with all the pity below-the-belt tactics; reckless changes dumped in middle of tournaments without announcing details; and mostly for refusing the long list of essential fixes while have plenty of time for irrelevant or more hurting changes. I just heard that even the sunder bug was not fixed in the 3rd major update since.
The fun evaporated when it became clear that waiting for improvements is futile.
Yeah, I’ve had fun re-learning the characters + having to choose team more carefully. The expense of boosts is what is causing me problems at the moment. I’m fine with 3 of each being worth a small amount of gold because it is very powerful when combined with other +3 buffs, but +3 buffs costing 66 iso each is makes it hard to earn iso for me while using them. If the amount of iso per fight were raised it would be much easier to fight for longer periods without draining iso.
Previously two +3 buffs cost 67 iso, with an average 105 iso earned per fight so you could make money still using buffs. Now it costs 133 iso with average 105 still being earned. When they increase the iso per fight it should be roughly okay again - just a bad idea imo for them to do one without the other.
I think they just moved his crazy AP generation from red>yellow to yellow>green. Red is way less painful, which is probably good for his cheapest power, but the three yellow gems it generates never seem to be enough to be useful. I think I saw them cause a cascade once.
I stand corrected, it was 200 Iso. Apologies.
The bottom line for me is that it rendered the boost completely unusable. Coupling that with the Thor nerf and my crew is no longer able to get a 1st round ability off.
The hike in cover space made me mad, but the recent changes made the game unplayable for me. The lack of respec option (selling for pittance and starting completely over != respec) was just salt on the wound.
:edit: haha…almost forgot…one of the very first suggestions I ever made was to have the basic functionality of screen rotation built into the game so I could charge my tablet AND play comfortably. I must have warped or broken 3 or 4 micro USB chargers playing this game…ah, memories. When they finally (finally) decide to put that in- you’re welcome.
