To make it clear: every hero has its own icon and you can find it rolling among others in the vault.
But when you see a Wolverine icon can you recognize if it’s for a 2*, 3* or a 4*?
Same goes for every character with differently starred versions such as Storm, Thor, HumanTorch, Bullseye, Deadpool, Hawkeye, IronMan, BlackWidow and all the others to come.
Does anybody know if there are any differences between these icons or if is there any internet resource to check about it?
Or are they just the same and you just got to be lucky?
The only hint you get is when you pull the token it is either silver 1-2*, gold 3*, or gold with the middle changing 4*. Other than that all tokens will look alike.
I thought this question was asking why some 3s have flashing gold stars when you look at them in your roster, like Daken, Cap, Thor, and Storm, while others with the same powers as their 2 counterparts such as Torch do not. Anyone have insight on that?
Thank you everybody for answering.
Bowgentle was the one who understood the question.
When vault starts rolling it displays round logos changing fast, but you can’t say if a Storm icon is for a 1*, 2* or 3* cover unless it unveils the cover and you can see it’s gold or not.
What I’m asking is before, after the vault door closes and before you tap, when icons are still changing.
I found if I just tap once it starts going slower changing 3/4 icons before stopping.
It goes much slower than before and here I can tap once more to get one of these icons.
So I still think it’s not just for show and we can still manage to get something good if we tap at a lucky time.
Basically those guys were introduced as “gold characters” since the two-star version was remade as a three-star. Torch took the other way: He was first introduced as a three-star and then got a two-star version, so he’s not a gold character.
I don’t think anything has been done with the gold character designation though.
