Attention all S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents - It’s time for another monthly forum contest, and another opportunity to enter for a chance to win cool stuff!

They protect, they keep us company, and they occasionally mistake our slippers for chew toys. You guessed it, August 26th is National Dog Day! To celebrate our loyal furry companions, we’re giving out prizes to players that can guess how often Lockjaw has been a good doggo this year. Read the details below to learn how to participate, see rules, and reward details. Happy National Dog Day everyone, and don’t forget to feed your favorite furry friend a treat!

To Enter:

Guess how many times Lockjaw (Royal Bulldog) has used the ability this past year 8/26/20 - 8/26/21.

The 3 Agents with the closest guesses at the end of the contest will win a prize!

Prizes:

1st Place - 3 Lockjaw covers, and 1,500 HP

2nd Place - 2 Lockjaw covers, and 1,000 HP

3rd Place - 1 Lockjaw cover, and 500 HP

Rules & Regs:

Entries will be accepted until midnight PST Sunday (8/29/21). Any submissions after this time will not be accepted. One entry per player. Agents may update their guess while the contest is open, but edits made after the deadline will not count. Winners will be decided on Monday, 8/30/21 and announced soon after. S.H.I.E.L.D. admins will PM the winners. Winners must respond within 48 hours to claim or will forfeit prize. Forum names will be shared publicly after winners are confirmed.

*Any Agents that do not have an MPQ account or don’t wish to take a prize may instead pass that prize onward to the next closest Agent in points.

_UPDATE 8/27/21:_A few people have asked this question, to clarify…we will be calculating all occurrences of Loyal Protector being used on both friendly and enemy teams but from from player triggered instances only.

I can’t remember the last time I saw Lockjaw in the wild or used him on purpose myself. I wonder if it’s different at the 4* tier.

Does the AI using the power count in the total?

The Royal Family node could see it used a lot if it does. I’ll amend my guess if it does.
Since it’s a passive it probably triggers way more than we think it does given how useful it is in special tile teams.

As the contest isn’t 100% worded clearly, I’m going to give two answers based on what the contest runners really meant.

If they meant how many times have MPQ players used the ability “Loyal Protector”, then I’m going to say 58,000 times.

If they meant how many times it’s been used by MPQ players AND the enemy AI used the ability “Loyal Protector,” then I’m going to say 275,000 times.
