How do I set up the game on Android (4.1.2) so that:

  • it does not crash every time I have to take a phone call;
  • I can get back to playing when I have to push the game into the background and, eg, take some photos. The game resets when i press the icon.

To me, this sounds like a lack of memory.

I would start by killing all the active processes that weren’t this game. Then, go to your application manager and try to make sure you kill anything running in the background you don’t need. Then try running only the game, minimizing it, opening your photos, and then going back and see if that still resets it. If it does, you may just be out of luck.

Others may have better advice, though.

It’s based on your OS and it’s not something can be changed. Samsung is notorious for killing background apps regardless of available RAM.

You’re out of luck until you get a new phone/tablet.
