Dr. Strange is only scary with Kamala Khan because the 2 of them will heal their team forever. Thanos and Strange are also a good pair- take out Strange first, Thanos does damage, take out Thanos first, Strange hits you. And Thanos is strong for a 3*. So is Kamala Khan, and her Bash hits the whole opponent’s team hard. I don’t think Iron Fist is scary, not if you have a healer on your team, neither is Hulk, who I save for last, since his damage is pretty weak. Iron Man is only scary when paired up with 4*, like Peggy Carter or others that do massive damage with red or blue.
I think the following in various combos would get people to skip.

Kamala Khan
Falcon
Cyclops
Magneto
Blade
Man it’s been so long since I skipped a team with any 3* on it (barring IM40 with boosted 4s). Probably the day I champed my first 4 was the day I stopped skipping 3* teams if they were worth the points.
I assume we’re talking about a 3* defense team that other 3* players would skip, hm… Depends on the boosted character, presumably, but I’m thinking…

Luke/Fist/Hood
Luke/Fist/Anyone
Switch/Kamala Khan
I suspect a pretty high level Thor or Hulk could still be a deterrent with their high health.
