@Brigby I know everyone is very busy sorting out the 30 pages of info on Ixalan, and the community is very excited, but is it possible to get some info on what is going on with the brackets in Terror in the Shadows? There seems to be parallel brackets open at the same time, and some currently house over 2000 players, while the rewards still state only up to 250 players for rewards.
This is a drastic change, and it came without warning, like the fixing of the matchmaking error. any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Different players knowing each other share information
There’s no good way to “see” a full bracket. This is based on observations of those joining the event and seeing themselves starting at rank 2000+, which implies the bracket sizes are wrong (should be 250 max per bracket).

Yes, when I signed up this morning the placement sign was blank instead of showing what place I was in. When I checked the rankings (before my first match) I was at 2000+ .
With the easy objectives and huge brackets, my one missed point sees me outside top 50 as of now.
That’s Oktagon preparing for the new events. Soon they will all be like this. Mwhahaha .
I just spoke with the developers, and it would appear that this bracket size was an oversight during event setup. Unfortunately we are unable to adjust the size while the event is live, however we will make sure that the next iteration runs with the usual 250 bracket size.

I’d hope not a return to larger bracket events. The only PvP I play anymore are the few TG matches each day and any coalition event creating a sense of obligation/altruism for me to. I’m strictly sticking to PvE events otherwise. At least till a new set comes out. This has been to only game to get me to do any “Player versus Player” style content, ever. And I still don’t really like it, but tolerate it here because it’s versus AI.
