How come it won’t let me join the second-to-last slice? When I select it and click Enter, it just refreshes the story tab…
Same here. I do need to find an extra 325HP somewhere within the next 5.5 days, or it’s bye-bye Moonstone to make room for my first 4* Thor cover which I pulled off an event token. How come no HP progression reward in this event 
It should have joined you on one of those attempts. Do a hard quit of the app and restart it. You should then be entered into the end time you selected.

Of course the first time I have all the essentials and buffed chars, the prizes are turd.
There is 50 HP as a reward in one node in first sub.
But… there’s no reason to keep Moonstone at all. oBW and most other heroes run circles around Miss Sofen.
And to think I sold off all the Moonstone covers I was pulling from the Hulk event tokens believing that she wouldn’t ever be needed in order to not spend the HP needed to open a roster spot for her.
Its true… Moonstone is probably better than 1*'s, but unless you are relying on her for something you don’t have covered yet, I wouldn’t bemoan losing her too much. It was kinda fun stealing really powerful CD’s when I had her… but that was about it, and it was really too costly to get the AP to do it.
Last time Moonstone was useful was probably over a year ago in the No Man’s Land tournament when all male characters were locked out, so we were limited to 3 Black Widows, 2 Storms, Moonstone, Yelena and Invisible Woman. Photon Blast was better than GSBW’s Pistol, so Moonstone saw quite a bit of play.
She was quite useful in the Dark Avengers Only tournament since the only other DA that had a red power was Ragnarok.
But yeah, since then she hasn’t had much use…
What’s the node refresh time? What % hit does the node take on a clear? Its been different every event since the elektra.
gotta say, this a nice change of pace event. scaling is reasonable and being able to do doom essentials, progression awards should be cake.
is the second part scaled higher or is it more of the same?
on a side note, doom is a friggin BEAST!! i had the one free daily award cover (black) and since then ive picked up blue/purple from the last pve and ive hit two blues in tokens. with the progression he will be 1/4/1 and if i can squeeze a top 100 in hood pvp he will be 1/5/1. now if i can just hit purple/blacks 
anyone have an opinion on 3* torch? i actually only need one 2* cover and it happens to be marvel yellow. ive scrapped at least 10 red/blacks and she is currently at 5/5/2. im thinking about trying to hit the 151-250 bracket just to finish her and i really dont want to add another one of cover roster slot for torch unless he is really good. i realize he will likely be an essential in the next pve, but roster slots are becoming quite annoying to add.

No Man’s Land would be a bit more interesting now. Obviously the 4* ladies would rule the roost, but boosted Gamora and Mystique would be pretty fun too.
I think if they ran it again, they should use Balance of Power rules to make it more interesting.
I’d love No Man’s Land as an off-season event. Been hoping for it quite some time, but so far it hasn’t happened…
For those who have completed this before, in order to get all the personal progression rewards, should I be roughly at 10,000 by the end of day one?
Does the node points increase on day 2? I’ve participated in the event once before but wasn’t in a position to progress very far.
Lazy Torch is actually the two star version. Three star was out first.
That said, if you can afford the slot for him, get him. His red deals a ton of damage for the cost, and his black and green are no slouch either. He does suffer from glass canon syndrome, but is fun to play. And as you said, he’ll probably be essential in the next pve, which probably releases Squirrel Girl.

Human Torch, the event’s cover prize, or are you asking about Torchling(
)?
Either way, Torchling is like the 3rd best DPS, in
land, behind Ares & Logan (…or a 5 
oBW on a good day).
HT is great, if you have one of his super-bestfriend partners. Otherwise, he is pretty much a Glass Cannon.
It’s sad there’s 2 Marvels that are better than her.
But at the same time, if she ever gets buffed to the level of her compatriots…shudders
2 3*Steves I can’t use in a row, a Hood I can’t use, and 3 Hulks I can’t use in a row. Good thing I stopped caring about getting a 166 team and am leveling random characters instead

Especially in the current composition, 3* HT is nice for me because he hides behind hulk as he’s underleveled, and hulk buffed. Torch’s red and black powers are both pretty good, and the green is decent if there’s nothing better on the color for a team (like in the above pairing with hulk.
One run through was 3060 points, with 2940 of it from the sub, which included 1 non-repeatable node rewarding 50 HP (forgot to check point value). It looks like the nodes are 3hr timer, and I didn’t keep track to do the math, but it looks like 1/6 node devaluation per clear.
I have to comment and say thanks to D3. We finally have a shorter event, subs that aren’t overly long, alliance sub rewards, 3 hour refresh, and I was able to clear all the nodes on my first pass without wanting to throw my phone and without having to use boosts on my 1st clear! What a nice change! This pve may actually be enjoyable for the first time in a long time!
