Okay, my memory is a little bit fuzzy. But as I recall, didn’t Heroic Covers use to cost 150 Hero Points? I also recall buying roster slots a lot cheaper than it is right now.
Yesterday my next slot was 100, I spent the day trying, and failing, to get that 100 to buy it. Today that slot is now 150. So yes, it has gone up. Now I’m considering if I want to continue playing since HP seems very hard to get. A full day of playing and I’ve not gotten any.
Cover slots are one of the main things I spend HP on. I’d rather have slower growth than throw away something I might regret. Who knows, maybe after they look at people’s concerns and tweak him, Bag Man will be the new hotness and I’ll already have a fully powered one (probably with a poor build, but that’s a separate discussion).
That doesn’t really help though if it comes down to deleting a cover if you don’t have an extra slot. I’ll never understand people that make collecting games but don’t offer places to house your collection or don’t want you actually collecting. To me that’s just idiotic design. But if I can’t get enough HP to open slots then there is no point in trying for covers, which means there is no point in playing at all.
At this stage, 40 is enough for every cover in the game, no? Don’t worry, I’m sure as more than 40 covers becomes possible, they’ll also increase the cap and allow you to buy more space as needed.
30 is enough currently. But that ignores the issue the OP stated – that getting enough HP early on for all the covers you get is… extremely difficult.
I still think they should reduce (or eliminate) the cost of cover slots. It just pushes people away from the game if they have “bad luck” and pull a bunch of different covers instead of just a few covers for a specific character.
