If i do a match5 without normal swapping, the game tells I got an extra move, but when I “move” once, my turn is over.
Ingame faq also does’nt seem to have FAQ about match5’s and extra turns.
The notification banner is “extra move”, but when you dig into other descriptions, all that actually means is “does not end your turn”, which is still technically true of Match-5s that are made by means other than a move, but is also redundant.
Otherwise GSBW and MNMags and such could almost be winfinites on their own.
It would make more sense if that banner didn’t pop up when a Match-5 was made by some means other than an actual move, but I assume there’s some issue where messing with that code would create even more problems.
Yeah, considering there wasn’t a time in at least a year, where we didn’t have at least one bug concerning the order of events, I’m not optimistic about this getting fixed anytime soon.
It also displays if you make a match-5 when using Twin Pistols, even though Twin Pistols still ends the turn before you get to make any moves at all.
