Hilarious. For me personally i love this challenge, and have the roster for it. Really curious what others think.

The only available 5* team is Goblin/Old Man Daken/Yelena, no synergy at all and Daken is actively hemmoraging the black that Goblin wants, so it looks like it’ll be a brute force matching experience for the most part. most of my very junior alliance is going to have to play it with loaners.

UI-wise, it would be really nice if the characters you can’t use (basically everyone) were greyed out instead of just looking like they were un-boosted to make it clear. one of my alliance mates asked me if it was broken.

I can’t even fathom why they would do this. Dark Avengers are a joke and pretty much the worst and most boring characters in the game. People without a couple key characters just get totally shut out of the event. Rethinking if I want to play this game anymore, what a terrible decision.

This looks like an error to me, like all slots were labeled for essential characters not just the centers on the side slots

I think the most forgiving affiliation they could have chosen would have been X-Men if they didn’t want to go with Heroes or Villains. Dark Avengers is very restricted.

Heroic sucked when they were run and they suck now. This is a terrible idea and it’s compounded by the fact the Dark Avengers are weak and not overly fun to play. This ruins what are the most popular event types.

The color overlap (purple/black/green) on usable chars sucks. Also, denying blue of Garg won’t have any outlet on a char.

I like the intention of whipping up a challening event.

This is not a viable solution; playtesters should have immediately noticed that.

I can see why they thought it was safe to give out 5* reward covers. Damn near nobody is going to get them.

It would be better if it got greyed out. I thought, “Isn’t this event restricted to only Dark Avengers?” And I tried selecting them, but failed. :smiley:

My first impression is that it’s interesting and challenging. Right now, it’s still at low level, but my unchamped OMD ate 27k damage from his blue.

It reminds me a little of playing against 5* Gambit 1st “nerf” passive ap destruction.

The team I used was OMD, Green Goblin and Eddie Brock. Beautiful synergy as of now, but late game I have to switch to something else.

As for my alt account, I used OMD as a tank and used 3* Bullseye and fully covered level 70 Eddie Brock.

This probably explains why we got so many Eddie Brock covers?

Here just to comment that this event SUCKS!

These characters have so little synergy, and Gargantos’ passive makes it that much worse. Then he gets enough Blue to fire that off and he’s one shotting my 5*’s. And this is ROUND 1!!!

Where is the scaling?

I enjoy the occasional 48 hour nodes because they help prevent burnout. If boss events are going to be this terrible going forward, they’ll end up being a nice three day break from the game.

The nerf (having to select from a small subset of characters) made round one too difficult. I can’t imagine how hard later rounds will be and I can’t see even competing at all after the difficulty spike that occurs after the first day.

This is pretty bad. I’m having trouble on the first round and I’m well into 4* land. It was hard enough to get alliance members to participate in these events. Now it’s going to be even harder.

This is unplayable. Even with the limited roster, there’s no synergy between the characters.

Leaving aside the obvious issues with the event that everyone is pointing out, it surely isn’t correctly balanced for a lvl 50 character. It shouldn’t be wiping out lvl 300+ characters with ease, which Gargantos seems to be doing at the moment, to say nothing of it’s punishing gameplay

Hate it. Former vip, occasional one off purchase. Half decent roster but this event is so awful, no synergies, that I’ve done a couple of rotations and given up.

Deadpool dailies for next few days and save my money. If this is the way forward, then I’m drifting away

I was hoping this may be the issue, and the Devs would jump on fixing it, but it does say it’s a Dark Avengers-only event. What IS broken is not blacking out the characters we cannot use.

I just wanted to add my downvote for this event.

I’ve been playing almost since launch. I’ve been feeling burned out for a very long time now, and I have a VERY solid 5-star roster, so I should be coasting, and I am, and maybe that’s the problem. Shang-Chi did bring something new to the table, and I enjoy the puzzle aspect of trying to maintain winfinite with him, Onslaught, & Doc Ock, even if winfinite does make matches a little longer, but a “change” like this event being Dark Avengers-only is NOT how you make friends and influence people.

Actually, no, it may influence people…to quit. And as I don’t believe that’s your goal you seriously need to think VERY hard before making drastic changes to the game. Change is good, we’ve been in a stagnant rut for a very long time. But only change for the better is good. Changes like a Dark Avengers-only event? Not good. Just my 2-cents.

I loved heroics. Always did.

It made me use characters I never played with in creative ways.

Nice to see it back as it was always an interesting mechanic that offered something new.

But I was always in the minority.

Yeah this one’s kinda crazy rough round one. I’m developing my 4* roster right now with around 15 champed and a good chunk slowly working their way but I have hardly any Dark Avengers and only managed round 1 with team ups. Rip my chances at this event
